Let's play: "WHAT GAME IS COD PRETENDING TO BE THIS YEAR?!"
Every year cod rips off a different game or takes its elements to add it's own spin. Ironically, the cod fan base will always deny this fact.

Because i know that Destiny didn't introduce super moves, titanfall didn't introduce wall running, halo didn't introduce super soldiers and still trying to know what COD ripped off from battlefield. But let me guess since it's COD it means its a ripoff right?

12 RepliesThis just in, Fallout uses Destiny's gunplay mechanics! Oh no, and Halo 5 uses Advanced Warfares Thruster system! Oh my god, and Overwatch uses a class-based system akin to Team Fortress 2! It's almost as if games build off of each other!?

Call of deus: Titan ops 3. Lots of people are comparing it to destiny but really, a ground pound and a revolver have been around much longer than destiny. The wall running and double jump remind me of a less optimized titanfall, and the whole plot of the game is like a less thought out deus ex.

1 Replyoriginality is dead. If you slate any game these days for copying another game you only show to the rest of the world what a child you are. Halo CE was considered to be "revolutionary" in it's time. and it wasn't even the first game to have something like regenerative health. (though it might have been the first FPS) My point is the copy argument is just a cop out argument. a lazy way to bash on a game for the sake of bashing just so a bunch of sheep can boost your ego. If you don't enjoy cod then don't play it.

I'm pretty sure titanfall was released after the developing of black ops 3 so I don't get why people are saying that they copied off them. And I get how they copied destiny in a game like cod specialist have no place in the game.

Lol no you're totally right. Ghost was a rip off battlefield (more tactical and big maps) AW was a rip off Titan fall/Halo (flying through the air, quick parkour movements) and BO3 is has destiny supers and they're seemingly now sticking with Titan fall Running and jumping.

Edited by Excarkun: 11/9/2015 3:43:52 PMThe supers where stolen from mass effect...well that is the first type of fps I can remember having a type of super ..unless we want to go with star wars Jedi/think 1st republic..been so long ago..but it was played on the pc's..I guess we can say the force was the 1st super on a fps game so Destiny stole that idea..tinker with it...and now so did COD/BO3..nothing new in the gaming world..by next yr..Destiny2 will have side wall running and jumping as well...maybe we will even have titans/atals's oh those where stolen from mech(something so darn many old games like this) assault..and countless others before it and after...we can go on and on...btw..all fps stole from wolfenstin3d by not only being 3rd person but using guns...lol..

Does it really matter in the grand scheme of things. If a popular element from a game is used...and works as intended...what is the issue. Everyone knows COD is not a new IP... The alternative?
