Seems like Bungie overextended, trying to generate more grind.
I dont really feel the urge to play anymore. I REALLY enjoy the raid, but thats about it.
I don't really remember why i used to play for hours with no set goal, but at one point i actually enjoyed it.
Now, nightfall is fairly pointless. Pisses me off. Tuesdays were always nightfall/heroics with my friends. They quit weeks ago, i doubt ill do another nightfall anytime soon.
only place to progress is hard raid or ToO (not a big fan of crappy crucible, and cheaters with no fear of repercussions).
Exotic bounties are unfun and give you mostly situational weapons.
Just feels like Bungie tried way too hard to get us to grind more, and screwed up the actual enjoyment of the game.
Yes, i realize this is just my opinion.
Edit: Wow, that's a lot of replies, and in a strange occurrence, only a couple "git gud"s. I don't know if ive ever seen so many players agree.
Edit: I wish i could reply to all of you. I gotta say, im bolstered by the fact that an overwhelming majority are if the same sentiment. Thank you all for not turning it into huge rage fest with everyone bickering and telling each other to git gud. Im just glad to see im not the only guardian that feels this way.
Edit: Funny how Bungie has something to say about "the weapons drought of 2015" and not putting raisins in your vault because you'll get ants, yet nothing to say to the disappointed players that invested hundreds and/or thousands of hours in their game.
Its cool. They prolly assume people are going to return after playing another game for a while.
I havent played in a couple days. Not playing anything else, just have less than zero desire to play destiny.

You know what we don't see, a CM post or a Dev post on this. Huh I wonder what it's like to be a CM for Bungie.. Wake up whenever Stroll into work Check email, turns into a yahoo news check, turns into a fantasy football check and finally back to news. Check on forums for a couple minutes, nothing new to see so ignores forums. Meeting, tells Devs the community seems content. Writes a few useless paragraphs for weekly. Intercoms couple Devs for material on weekly. Get bored, eat some lunch, yahoo news again. Check reddit, write a response to a useless post. Check phone, Twitter post, check fantasy football. Flirts with girl in next cubicle. Coffee break Yahoo news Home.

1 ReplyBump to keep it up and hopefully seen by Bungie. My friend list was 75 people playing the week TTK came out and last night on reset is was 11. I only logged in to help my friends with hard mode because they didn't have a full fireteam and didn't want to LFG. Played 5 matches of PVP about 4 days ago and never had a match with full fireteams on both sides ever. What's your player retention rate Bungie? How about those numbers?

same here man except I'm not enjoying this Raid or its mechanics, I'm good at it, I just don't like it, like at all I'm just playing Strikes for Strike gear, that's all the exotics they gave us - other then SS and Swords, are pretty lacking, I prefer legendary weapons and I only enjoy a few pieces of the new exotic armor sad they won't bring old armors into the fold anyway, I'm logging in and playing Strikes to get the strike gear and finish Vanguard bounties, I have all faction ships and shaders, I've had every exotic in the game or I have a last step of a quest to get it but I'm just too lazy to do it, actually to do anything in Destiny anymore it's a fun game, and TTK brought a bunch of good changes, but the stuff that got missed, over looked, or simply ignored - for the 4th DLC in a row - is finally taking a toll on me

I'm starting to really hate myself for the free pass I helped facilitate with this game. We have freely let this all occur and the wolf is slipping out of his disguise. Were sending a message, but, we MUST all act on it. Walk away from this POS while you can.

maybe bother comment why can't they let us have new version of VoG or TDB or HoW gear? it's still legendary, why won't they let us infuse them to max light? that alone would make for so many more options and reasons to play ... *sigh* who am I kidding ...

I agree. I'm enjoying halo 5's ranked multiplayer and whenever I wanna -blam!- around I go play war zone. There's no content left in this game. Only things they've time gated to keep the game interesting every month or so.

Taking time away to work on Halo 5 (which, at first glance, is not as good as Destiny in the gameplay dept). Still going to watch the Destiny News to see if anything changes for the primarily solo player. Not going to beat my head against the wall to stay at 297. If they improve the engram table to drop light level gear closer to the player's light level, I'll be back. Never having received a primary weapon greater than 295 after hundreds and hundreds of engrams is just too much.

I have been hovering over delete character(s) for a few days now. 2 weeks since I quit my 11month clan( every event 3 times a week since launch) and today may be it.

2,000 hr player. I'm done. We have all made a mistake and now is the time to rectify it. This game is being beta tested on all of us and they are fine tuning it to control our habits and honestly If your not blind, you should plainly see what is happening. It's devious and the evolution of all Activision has learned over the years. It's the darker side of buisness practices and their intention is to OWN us for this games life cycle.

Weapons parts is a biggy but after last week with my 6th ghost and 4th pair of boots and (no other hard raid armour) which were 312 after spending hours in the hard raid got me to the point of enough is enough Christ I had a gun drop at less than 310 on hard raid war priest what's the point Nightfall is pointless I don't even bother I buy only 3 of coins only which they nerfed it seems buying year 1 weapons at 280 seems pointless.... The worst for me though is time locked exotics I can't play every day so I miss out on opportunities to get the guns as a result then nothing to look forward to in between ( once raid is done) I did finally get my spindle and ToM the only raid requirements so I can't even be arsed to get other guns now which bungie said they didn't want to do again, which is limit people to certain weapons Sorry bungie I'm a day one player and can honestly say I enjoyed y1 more it somehow felt more epic and rewarding. When certain guns dropped everyone used to go nuts especially in VoG Time for another long break I think

I agree. I haven't done nightfalls/raids in two weeks now. Haven't even had the urge to. Halo is an okay game, but destiny is just collecting dust at this point. I'm sure that I will play destiny again one day, but for now it does not seem like that day will be anytime soon. Trials was my favorite game mode in destiny. Since I have stopped playing trials has dropped and I have not even been on to play. Majority of my friends list have been playing games other than destiny as well. Somewhat sad when I think of the time I have invested in this game. It could have been so much better.

Couldn't agree more...exotic weapons aren't special anymore either. Honestly, I feel like it's too easy to get gear from raids and legendaries that it becomes so boring so fast. As much as I hated rng in year 1 it was so fun trying to get gally with my friends or finally getting the thorn bounty etc...sounds weird but I actually preferred the old rng lol

Bungie seems hellbent on keeping everyone in the dark. How busy can Cozmo and Deej be to get on a forum for 45 seconds to say "there's some new shit inbound in a couple weeks"? It's not like they stick around to answer questions anyhow.
