Sniper Rifle Aim assist is ridiculous
Okay so bungie have nerfed shotgun on 3 different occasions but the sniper rifle which basically lock on to an enemy behind a 4 foot block of concrete are still considered fair?

Edit: Just so everyone know this is speaking from a snipers perspective all I'm saying is they seem a little off. Stop jumping to bloody assumptions. Jees

2 RepliesOP- "best weapon" shoutgun... Who woulda guessed. If it's so easy stop running shotgun as your primary and use one. From your post I'd guess you're one of those run across the map in a straight line people I love to snipe.

Shotgunners are trying to get back at snipers?? Aim assist is present on all weapons, so it's fair IMO.

2 RepliesI don't use Snipers because I don't like to sit in the back lines and aim at corners. I like to go into the action. I don't sit at corners with a shotgun either. However, I will adapt to a losing situation to turn it into one that favors me. If I see a sniper camping it up, I just put in a ranged scope and unload on him. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose. Oh well.

1 ReplyIt's funny how so many people pretend sniping is easier than shot gunning. Steps for shotgun: 1. Find prey 2. Bull rush 3. Pull trigger 4. Kill other enemies within proximity Steps for sniping: 1. Wait for prey or set trap for prey 2. Make sure nobody is behind you 3. Take steady aim, accounting for approximate head height 4. Pull trigger 5. Owait. Enemy is Sunbreaker 6. Run 7. ??? 8. PROFIT

I think ridiculous is Bungie made it very hard to counter with a sniper. Since they lowered the flinch you can take when getting shot and trying to snipe. I think sniping takes way to much skill to nerf them. Like drop off damage on a sniper I think that's a little pointless. Isn't the point of a sniper supposed to be long range? Idk just my opinion

aim assist in this game in general is very generous. Honestly the only game I've seen that gives less at the moment (that I've played) is Titanfall on PC where it gives Controller players near aim-bot level assistance.

4 RepliesWell maybe if you put your shotgun down and stopped running around with it the entire match you would understand what aim assist actually does to a sniper... Doesn't make the hit box bigger for a headshot, and doesn't "auto lock" on someone's head. This coming from a guy that prefers NLB over any other sniper..
