P.S. I'm agnostic with a huge disdain for organized religion

I'm truly sorry you have become jaded about religion. It's clear you were exposed to the wrong one. And must've had a terrible experience with it. That really is sad. But I still have hope that you will find the right religion, even if it's the last one you look at. Just don't paint all other religions with the same brush, because they might all be flawed, there is one true religion out there that is supremely perfect. I truly hope that God guides you find happiness and peace in your life my brother. You deserve it. We all do.

Basically, it's like saying "idk if there is or isnt a god, and I admit that there is no way to really know, so fuuuuuuuuk iiiiiiiiit."

It means that at the moment, you believe in only something that can put forth the evidence to prove itself.

Thank you. I'm not big on religion so I don't know what to call myself and I've heard of agnostic just not sure what it meant

I'm curious as to what you mean by organized religion? I hear it all the time, and I really don't understand this term.

Belief in a god or gods or some supreme being is one thing, and specific groups of organized believers is another, ie Christians, Muslims, etc.

Define what you mean by organized. Something created by man? Created by the supreme being? Or just religions with titles?

I just did.. What do you do when you organize people? You put them into a specific group. What is religion? Like this isn't that hard. Organized religion is just what it sounds like, groups of people who believe in and follow the same religion. People can believe that there is or was something that created humanity and the universe, and still not believe that that thing is Christian god or whoever, maybe just some unknown entity. (non-organized)

So you mean you prefer it when people believe just whatever they want instead of Following a set of rules and regulations? Does this also mean you dislike anything that's organized, or just when it pertains to religion?

My problem with organized religion isn't fundamental, it's the awful things that it's caused and the ridiculousness of pushing one idea of hundreds of others simply because that's what you learned growing up

If you look at the religions themselves, all they ever call to is good, unity, purity, harmony. There is not one religion out there that calls to evil. Man, which is a flawed being, does this. So what I'm saying is, don't judge the religion, and even then don't judge the bad people that twist the religion. Because there are countless people without religion that are just as bad. It's man that is flawed, and it's man that needs proper guidance. When man teaches a religion to another man, he doesn't teach the religion, he teaches his philosophy of the religion. But when man studies the religion for himself, then he learns the truth. And there is only one religion out there that calls to a logical, rational, unifying truth. And it wasn't organized by man. It was organized by God. I won't even tell you what the religion is because I don't want to push anything on to you. If you truly cared and were sincerely, open heartedly interested, then you would look for it yourself, even if you spent the rest of your life looking for it, because you want to know the truth yourself. The purpose of life, the reason we are all here.

Not sure if you've read the old testament, but it calls to some pretty evil shit. The Qur'an is pretty terrible too

Not at all. You're just not understanding it. Religion never calls to evil. At least not the one I'm talking about. Anyway, you have to read them wholly with an open heart. Not believe what people tell you, or take one line out of context. You would t be giving that book justice.

Such a typical Christian argument that everyone else is misinterpreting or twisting the words of the Bible when they are laid out plainly. Am I misunderstanding the genocide after genocide committed to prove a point? Or the slaughter of all first born children in Egypt because their king was stubborn? How about the part where God commands that you must kill your wife, children, brother, and friend if they worship other gods. Am I misreading the part where God advocates slavery..and then goes on to explain in detail how you should buy and sell said slaves? I could go on for hours more, but I've made my point.

Did I say that the Christian bible want flawed? I completely agree with you thy it is. However all I can say is that you haven't looked at all the religions to find the right one. And Christianity is not it. Pleas open up your heart before it's too late my friend. God be with you.
