Year one players. What weapon/armor took you the longest to grind after?
Just curious.
For me nothing beats mythoclast.
Never have I ever wanted to kill something more then grinding after this gun.
21 hrd raids. Brother got it in two lol. Good ol days guardians.
Edit 1: Seems as though Fatebringer is most wanted yr 1 gun. This is troubling.

It took me 7 months of 3 runs per week to get Black Hammer. And of course, that all means nothing now.

Necrochasm. Took me 4 months, raiding 3 times a week, to finally get the crux. When I finally got it I got 2 in a row.

VoG raid boots for my titan, was my first main, and I was part of the forever 29 epidemic that effected vanilla destiny because of it. Worst part is that to this day, I still have not had a pair. :(

Nechrochasm. Had a husk of the pit for months before I was even hard mode crota raid ready and it took 3 tries to get the crux. Thing goes ham in crucible though.

I had one void weapon :p All that work and this thing freaking suckedd! It wasn't until they buffed it did it come out of my vault lol Edit: I've had to grind harder for other items, but sheer work put into one weapon.. It took me three weeks to finish the bounty

By design, it was the Necrocasm. You had to get the Husk to drop, kill a bunch of enemies with it to upgrade it to the Eidelon (sp?) Ally, then you needed to grind Hard Crota for the Crux. That was the longest active grind. As for the weapon that has eluded me the longest, that would be the Praetorian Foil. I still don't have it.
