From the developers of Halo, Marathon and Destiny Bungie is proud to announce DISAPPOINTMENT!
Disappointment is a game where you the player are constantly let down, lied to and driven to the point of giving up. 9 out of 10 content creators agree that disappointment is why they left the game.
All joking aside it’s completely clear that Bungie sabotaging their own creation by not fulfilling promises, not communicating or listening to the community they claim they love and by pushing back content because of their new IP is why Destiny 2 is officially dead.
They abandoned us.

7 RepliesEdited by Guardian, Archon Of Light: 3/21/2026 6:40:13 PMYep Destiny is dead internally at Bungie, nobody has any enthusiasm for the game anymore Destiny has went from "Let's Go" to "Do I have to ?' I think its time to officially move on Destiny is dead, Marathons death won't bring it back, but I will still celebrate that all the Marathon converts crapping on D2 also lost their game And avg 40-50k daily player count and dropping, I am sure Sony is not thrilled, expect the X is leaving Bungie announcements anytime

7 RepliesThe BFD & Payola Game "Journalists" say that we abandoned them. As customers, we owe them no loyalty. It's on them to provide a worthy product - or at the very least not exploit and rob us. This is the inevitable payback for stealing paid content. I'll never understand how the same studio that made Halo PVP did such a lackluster job with their PVP options in D1 & 2. Big team battle on large maps should have been a no-brainer in Destiny. Even Marathon could have at least a deathmatch mode where people could just jump in, shoot & respawn. Halo was a sandbox folks could run aound and just have fun any way they wanted. Even create their own maps. Bungie got hung up on riigiid control of player actions and microtransactions. They lost sight of what made their games fun and abandoned their own legacy.

The art of ‘gaslighting’ is fuelled by ‘radio silence’… Go figure?! 🙄 That is all. Ease Springs! 🤫

1 ReplySub par DLCs for years. Putting political/social screen splashes in. No PvP support. Hamster wheel grind. Taking out crafting. Everworse front and centre. They disrespected you long before they abandoned you.

16 RepliesIf they’ve “abandoned” us, why do they bother putting out new TWIDs and setting up free events?🤷♀️

8 RepliesIn 2014, they said they had a 10-year plan for Destiny. They delivered content (somewhat) steadily through 2025. Now, they are making and promoting a new product… Is it really that strange to see a drop in content at this point? Are they really villains for moving onto a new IP?

We should be able to remember destiny for how great it was! How much fun we had and friends we made along the way. It’s come to an end. The longer people take to realise the more of a sour taste they’ll get. Destiny was basically an addiction to so many people, break free. Most people who started playing during d1 are in there 30’s now. Times have changed, and so has gaming. Although a Destiny 3 would be amazing! Us day 1s could probably not keep up anymore 😂

Modern BungLe is NOT the developers of Halo. The makers of that epic game series is all long gone from the skeleton company you're talking about.

Maybe they're just bad at their jobs?

They abandoned us.
Bruh... they were never with us. They are a company, they make a product, we consume product. That is as far as the relationship goes. This parasocial stuff really needs to end. GM didnt abandon Pontiac drivers when they closed the brand, they just moved on.

7 RepliesHere is a reply to the Marathon game director on X from 1 hour ago:
The way you are so quick to acknowledge the feedback is insane. I cannot express my appreciation for your comms enough
There are many more like that. Destiny 2 is the 10 year old kid feeling ignored whilst Marathon is the newborn getting all the attention.

No they didn't, they just moved on to more trash like destiny has become.

My wife literally, just literally got a ban "warning" on this post. For nothing! Nothing vulgar, insensitive, nothing. Just agreed with you! We can't get replies on anything of IMPORTANCE on here, but get threats of bans? Just hilarious. (I'm sure I'll get flagged too now, for absolutely nothing) as well. There's a guardian post below who almost posted what she did, word for word...and post is still here. You can't make this stuff up.

Bungie never wasn't acommodating that much. I uninstalled Destiny 2. Not that I needed the space, I just didn't want to see it in my Steam library anymore. It's in "Hidden Games" now. One should take a moment to reconsider how they treated their customers and their game over the years. The state in which it is now. Scarce 6,000 players on Steam. I'm glad I moved away from it. Because there's not much to hold on to. Just to be fair, I never had a video game in my life I cared that much about, like I did with Destiny 2, engaging on a regular daily basis. I know some players, not less, who had the same "sympathy," but Bungie removed that bond by themselves. Last time I checked Discord, I read "Death to Marathon." And even if it sounds funny, there's something behind it.

They obviously did.

this is what game companies do when they run out of ideas they move on to the next money maker it's either a success or a failure and to be honest it started when D1 was discarded for D2 and so on quite praising these companies it not worth it big deal if you like the game think there in it for the money they don't care about their product unless it makes money that is the cold hard truth period don't get me wrong there are companies that care but them look to make money.
