Cross Save Steam Verification
Hello, I know this may be a far stretch to try and ask, but I am attempting to unlink my Steam account from Bungie's Cross Save function and it needs me to authenticate the account I had linked to it. However I had stupidly deleted the account several months ago and am no longer able to recover it. Am I still able to recover the Steam account involved with the Cross Play with Steam somehow to authenticate it here and turn off the blasted Cross Save?

1 Replyeven if you could recover the account with steam's help, bungie removed the ability to un-link platform accounts back in March of 2025.

Hi there, Unfortunately, Bungie can’t restore or “recreate” a deleted Steam account, and we also can’t bypass the Cross Save security step that asks you to re‑authenticate every linked platform. If the Steam account that’s linked to your Bungie profile is gone and can’t be logged into anymore, we don’t have a way on our side to verify it or remove it from Cross Save.
