They seem kinda lackluster for $40 and I already have a truckload of stuff from the D2 cash shop
I doubt I'll play Marathon much because I like steady character progression rather than losing everything every time you die. It's just a big negative feedback loop for me and even winning the match isn't worth all of the wasted time on the losses to me. I avoid basically all battle royale and extraction shooters because of this. And being constantly randomly sniped gets old fast as well. And the inevitable cheating that makes it feel even less worthwhile.
BUT the destiny 2 rewards kinda perked my interest...
Anyone know what happens after star wars renegade in D2? Can't find anything about it or the coming system changes they promised.

No wtf? Preorder if you want the game not for garbage in this game. Ghost shell is gross. Ship looks like a dumpster. Sparrow I like but it's also bad. The shader from the free bundle in store is where it's at.

I do not think the sparrow is worth it because I love my surfboard. The ship is blah. The ghost is blah. But there will be an open beta to try it out. I do like the fact that there is an endgame to give purpose for the extraction aspect of said game. Is it enough? Unknown. We have to see the roadmap for the game AND we have to see how bungie plans to monetize the game. We know the game will evolve… but at what cost… literally.

The D2 items from the Marathon preorder don’t appeal to me, they’re worth nothing at all imo. There’s rumoured to be a Marathon open beta in a couple of weeks so you could try that to get an idea of whether you like it.

you’re not gonna find any other game that has destiny‘s fluid gun mechanics feel I’m gonna give marathon a try against my will and against my principal But there really is nothing else to play. Everything else sucks.

My dad always told me , " never ask someone else, how to spend your money ".

if you are buying only for the ingame d2 stuff... not worth 40 imo.
