Silence on the road map they're very poor twid
Bungie and Sony you guys aren't doing yourselves any favors but ignoring this game for marathon. Since the announcement I've seen the drop off even more and it's making it harder and harder to play this game which is heartbreaking cuz I am one the original veterans from the beta destiny one.
You guys really need to break the silence and come out Tell us the truth

What are you expecting?! It’s all about marathon! Also looking at the last subpar dlc’s it will be more of the same . People are really holding out that something is going to happen . This is the new Bungie and this how d2 will roll

I think it’s dependant of when Sony allocate bungie’s budget for 2027-28. Anything for this year will be spent already, probably over spent to fix the mess the game had been the past year. I would expect anything to happen until mid feb just my guess but I think I’m on the money .

There's 38 days left on the current season pass. They absolutely must have everything tied up & ready to go. Or it's a total scramble with a skeleton crew. So, either they're holding back or are biding time for a delay announcement. I would bet on a D2 delay. I assume they have the majority of devs & PR folks locked into Marathon while they put D2 on the back burner. Which is understandable. Either way, this will be the first D2 content I will not be pre-ording. I only bothered with Wedge of Bait & Retrograde cos I reconnected with an old friend who plays D2. That turned out to be a huge mistake when I remembered why I stopped hanging with the guy over a decade ago lol The worst thing is that I'm totally ambivalent about the game & the company right now. As long as they keep the OG Destiny online, that'll do me fine 🤗

3 RepliesIt’s possible that the future of d2 depends on how well marathon does unfortunately. Sony might be making them put major d2 announcements on hold just in case those plan are cancelled. I’m not saying that’s what’s happening but it’s a possibility. We usually have some info about the spring release by now.

Copy paste of what I said somewhere else On a more serious note, I’m sure the rationale is just that it’s all hand on deck for Marathon, not that they abandoned Destiny. D2 has been the only game carrying the studio financially for years and revenues are withering, D3 is at least 5 years out, if ever, so it’s fair to assume Marathon is the life line, and it’s an all or nothing situation. Especially with the silence around future content, its hard not to imagine the future for D2 isn’t conditional to Marathon’s performance.

The silence kinda hurts. I know it’s just a game, but for many of us, it’s been “our” game. Through highs and lows. Radio silence just seems like they’re not even trying. If Marathon is where the focus going forward is, just say so. I’m still gonna play D2, but it’d be nice to have some information.
