So ive come to find out the update in March is being delayed so you can try and push a failed game onto the community instead. How about focusing on the game that you've made so many promises to bring back and try better at updating with valuable content. Been waiting for this promise to be upheld to only be disappointed at every turn. The content is going stale too quickly and the lack of weekly things for your higher skilled players is quit frustrating. This isnt the destiny I remember falling in love with and spending hours on daily. Now I hardly log on, unless a friend wants to play and even then I get bored within 2 hours. You've really made a big mistake here with this new game. It seems like you've pulled all staff and devs from destiny to focus on fixing your mistakes with marathon instead of fixing your mistakes and false promises with destiny. I still love destiny so I'll never fully leave, but it feels like you're driving your once devoted community away to other game titles and developers.

Besides all the issues plaguing the game, there is one thing I am missing from Bungie: an ACTUAL apology with the words "sorry" and/or "apologize". Start there, and actually fixing issues we bring up!

Well duh ?! D2 is what it is ….even with the update it’s still the same. What are people expecting ….d2 is on its way out .

10 RepliesAnother Destiny 2 player doesn't understand the difference between a rumour and an official announcement.

14 RepliesEdited by slump: 1/23/2026 3:37:31 PMTried to tell a dude the hard truth. Bungie doesn't care about d2 currently, in a perfect world everyone goes to marathon

1 ReplyThis Marathon thing. Is it really as bad as it looks? It looks like 20 year old graphics. Cartoons! It looks like 240 or 480 videos.

1 ReplyBuilds character 😎

I honestly hope this game dies. The sooner they stop doing live updates the better imo. I think it’s time the entire community just moved on to other games tbh.

I just think it's funny that they split from Microsoft so they could make anything besides Halo, then had to get in bed with Sony because they were so inept at hitting deadlines once breaking from Activision. In their desperate bid to "make what they want to make," they're going to cause Bungie as a studio to disappear entirely and become just another faceless Sony development team. Good job, guys. You wanted Bungie to be on its own so badly you wished upon the Monkey's Paw and now everyone in Bungie is going to be pulled to different Sony projects once Marathon fails to make sales figures.

Yeah but it's just a rumor it hasn't been confirmed by bungie publicly we may get more information as March starts to approach maybe sometime in mid February bungee might give us a solid answer

3 RepliesTuesday can't come soon enough.. adios destiny, hello terraria update
-
Sooooooooo play different games? Why are you tied to one developer?
-
It’s likely all hands on deck for Marathon’s release and Bungie wants to make sure that its release is as smooth as possible. The amount of independence Bungie will have going forward will likely be determined if marathon succeeds or flops. So yeah, makes sense that they’d want to devote 99% of the their manpower to that. But then again it also hasnt been confirmed

Edited by AlanCHAMP_87: 1/23/2026 3:01:50 PMThis is why people describe these sort of posts as ‘a toxic relationship’. I still love bungie so I’ll stay. lol. Go play something that respects your time. (Love) haha

So ive come to find out the update in March is being delayed so you can try and push a failed game onto the community instead
Source when Bungie not only announced that the March update is being delayed, but also admits that it is because of Marathon.
-
2 RepliesYeah obviously but it seems a lot of people don’t accept or see that . D2 is on pause literally. People have a choice and most will go over to marathon
-
Nothing been confirmed. Law & Order Major update will continue as normal 3rd march. All the old dev team was in destiny decide to join Marathon and quit destiny.
