IGA - International Ghost Appreciation Day
[spoiler]had to sh!tpost Friday (sometimes you just gotta) but I actually think the Ghosts are great... and maybe can be elevated... FYI > I had a lot of fun refining this with ChatGPT[/spoiler]
Ghosts in Destiny 2 aren’t just floating & hiding personal assistants! Sure, they’re your area flashlight, waypoint whisperer, and the proud wearer of whatever weird shell you found in a loot chest six seasons ago.
But they’re more than that.
They’re your ride-or-die resurrector, your sass-laced sidekick, your cosmic code hacker who somehow always knows which Vex terminal to violate. They hold your mods, your hopes, and the eternal burden of listening to your Guardian throw themselves off cliffs “for science.”
They’re not just narrators. They’re not just tools. They’re family. (they could very well be the main character)
…albeit, family who judges your fashion choices silently—but with glowing intensity.

2 RepliesI actually collect ghosts in my vault space and keep a few on hand to keep my active ghost company. Yes I'm a bit weird. I wish ghosts had a little lobby they could float around in. Give them AI in said environment that we could watch them so things. Be cool if their was a mode where we could fight with them like Pokemon.

My ghost likes to change his shell every season/episode (so far) to fit with the vibe of what we're doing. He has a few special ones for Solstice, Lost, Dawning, and Games. He even has a few favouries he'll put on just because they make him feel good. He's still trying to decide on a name. It's been almost 3 years now. We have lots of time together for the future, so I've told him not to rush. When he finds the right one, he'll know.

1 ReplyThe voice actor for our ghost. I remember how he phoned his lines in. I held a grudge about that in way thinking it cheapened my Destiny gaming experience. After seeing him in SPACE PANTS 👖 though I totally see his perspective.
