This game has the worst PVP i've ever played
It's literally a case of use shotguns, fusion rifles, snipers, or supers or else you lose. Then there's the heavy weapons on top of that. What do all of these have in common? One hit kill weapons, and they require no skill. Coming from the developers that made Halo, one of the best PVP games it's just dissapointing.

2 RepliesYou ever Play Gears of War 2+? If you didn't use a Shotgun, you might as well not play. Gears 1 was the best of the series because it valued the Lancer (Assault Rifle) & Flanking tactics over Crab Slide, Blind Run, Shotgun Whores like the rest of the series.

haha no skill? shotguns and sniper rifles are always one shot kill weapons, in any game. cod, battlefield, even some weapons in halo are one hit melee weapons. you have a radar, so i wouldnt recommend taking a corner when there is clearly an enemy around the other corner. otherwise you're going to eat metal. also dont spend too much time out in the open, you should be taking objectives or moving.

The problem is that they aren't op at all. All of them have strengths and weaknesses and I think pvp is pretty fun. I have mainly stuck to strikes trying to gear up for raids mainly but from what I have seen from alpha beta and now it is fine how it is. Anyone who complains is just but hurt.

6 RepliesSuper agree. It just feels broken. I get shorts and fusion rifles and even supers, fine. It's every other small thing that gets me hating it. Completely inconstant. I can unload a full clip of auto into someone and only their shields have been dropped, while they one hit me. So that's fun. The annoying situation of two people melee at the same time, and kill each other. If they would lower the damage of weapons, and drop pointless shields, it would be a really solid pvp. But forget bashing pvp right? Anyone who has a negative opinion on it is just a scrub and we should just git gud, and we're just mad bro, and our K/D is apparently our new resume for life. I'm not on too of the leader board charts, therefore my real concerns for the pvp functionality of destiny is just me "crying some more" on the forums. People are so cool sometimes.

I use pulse and scout rifles and do fine. You should probably run less and shoot more

The issue is that Destiny holds everybody's hand. They want even the worse players to be able to get kills. So they hand out multiple OHK abilities/weapons to each class. This in turn kills any hope for competition and frustrates the hell out of hardcore gamers. And as we all know, it's the hardcore gamers that keep a franchise alive. Not the more casual players that Bungie is pandering to.

I have to completely agree. I played crucible the other day and I had no idea what's going on. Defiantly not a game for competitive gamers. Feels too much like a COD for the under 10's.

The games coming around only the second week and it takes time to route out problems. Honestly I have no problems with PvP and some may say the same.

In Halo they would have been pinned down in 10 secs but since there's no real sense of map control or requirement that you land several shots in Destiny all you have to do is to run around like an idiot and hope you get lucky. Sure, there's still some skill to using the right weapon at the right time but it's much more forgiving than Halo and about ten million times more forgiving than games like R6V, where one team could have complete map control against static spawns. Reflexes and luck should never play a bigger part than tactical thinking and aim. Looking how there's no "pug chat" I'm leaning toward the possibility that even Bungie came to the conclusion that there wouldnt be any need for communication, the gameplay simply doesnt require it when people just run around anyway. The only way I'll ever play it in the full game is if they "MLG" it, add better gametypes, add proper skill levels and MM with open chat.
