By using the term "devil" I assume you are using it reference to evil incarnate - an entity that commits heinous acts, for the purpose of being evil. I don't see Hitler as the devil, and I never did. I see him as a misguided individual. A man that although committed horrible acts against humanity, did so due to his beliefs and ideologies, not not for the sole act of being evil. I have a question for anyone who disagrees with this mindset - Why is Hitler evil for committing genocide, but the Gd in the Christan Bible, who commits genocide on a global level, is justified in his actions?
There are 2 things to consider here 1) there is no such thing as good and evil or right and wrong, it's only how perceive them, and 2) people are not born bad. Much of the abhorrent acts people commit, is a product of learned behavior, not "human nature." A Gandhi baby and a Hitler baby are the same - it's their life experiences that shape them.
