Solstice has been bad every year not one year has it ever been fun.

The fact that you can lower your stat roll with a reroll gets a big thumbs down for me. It makes me not want to bother. Can’t say I remember this event ever being about earning cosmetics outside of the white glows. Everything else needed to be purchased with silver or Brightdust from Eververse. So the Upgraded Event Pass gets a big “don’t care” from me since none of it is any good anyways. I was hoping there would be a bunch of neat stuff in there. But it seems more like they took their 5 lamest additions and put them in there. The EAZ having the interiors cut off kind of sucks, but I like all the traversal aids around the map. It is so unfortunate the space is not used better. For most of the activity each player just stays in the same spot waiting for a shiny enemy to respawn. Booooooring. Ive never cared much for this event. I was not a fan of the old EAZ, and once I unlocked the magnificent sets of armor to get the glows for I just stopped playing it. So is this year’s event bad? Yes. But they all have been. I’d expect better if I had to pay for the privilege of participating. It’s something a little different to do for a bit, in a time when there is nothing else to do before the next season and activity. I do like the Tower decorations. I still wish these events decorated more than just the Tower, like actual Patrol zones too. Maybe even the strikes. Especially during Dawning and FOTL.

Solstice has always been awful. I never expected this year would be any better, even with the changes. And I'll be damned if I'm gonna even log in during this years iteration.

It's always been bad. I am surprised it took this long for people to realize, collectively, that it is bad.

Tell me who’s forcing you to cough up 10$ for cosmetics??? More importantly who is forcing you to play this game if you know Bungie handles their business practices poorly?? Very weird community in this forum. Complain about a game that is clearly not for you, but constantly keep playing it in an endless cycle

Why do you guys expect anything from Bungie? These guys are low tier from the “execs” all the way down to the “developers”. They are not good at any of this and it does not seem like we have any skilled out of the box thinkers left at that company.

1. It's because you have to upgrade the armor 2. It's 1-6 from what I can tell 3. Just like before you get the same amount of free earnable cosmetics as previous years alongside new paid ones soooo 4. Bungie's never gonna change it tbh

It's not only the same area as the last years, it's a way worse version of the area. The only fun part about the EAZ was actuall running around the entire map, killing stuff and also the seeking chests part was cool. Now they cut the only good part about the event out. What's left? Garbage.

The activity in the EAZ has been so simplified it’s boring, compared to previous years. There are other activities that allow you to get good armor rolls, such as: GM nightfalls, raids, dungeons, legend/master lost sectors, and more. While these activities don’t allow you to focus the armor with the specific stats you want (like this year’s solstice armor) the activities are actually fun and, more importantly, offer a challenge.

Actually, the EAZ is smaller than the last few times. The indoors are walled off. Also no more elemental orbs. Bungie really scuffed this event
