From Someone AFK Farming.
Hello, just wanted to let you know as far as designs go for bear this and the season of Saint-14 are your best works. Keep those guys designing so we actually have half decent looking gear in D2.
Next up, yes I'm afk farming and will be until you patch it or I hit 1050. Why? Cause 90% of the content of D2 is pretty awful and boring to play 10000 times with nothing interesting about them in any way, shape, or form. Your leveling system is complete garbage and doesn't account for anything valuable. I could be at 1040 with everything but a class item which would be at 1010 and you'd give me anything but that thus killing my motivation to even try the new Dungeon at all. One of the main reasons I've never done GoS is the gear isnt worth the time to play it. But this time you've actually made a really nice set for the Dungeon I'd like to go for even as a solo player.
If you want us to stop using things like this make other modes more interesting like in D1 and fix your garbage leveling system. Then we won't be so tempted to use this as a have to over an option. That's all you keep doing you though. I'm still on the side of after this season I'll probably be dropping D2 permanently since the next DLC doesn't seem to have anything worthwhile except cutscenes I can look up later.

1 ReplyYou’re opinion isn’t wrong. I haven’t afk’d and don’t plan on doing it but have no issue for those that are doing it based on your reasons. The fact of the matter is this is an exploit. The onus is on Bungie to fix exploits as in this instance the game is being played in a manner not intended. Until such time as this occurs then I say have at er as long as you have lowered your power level. You should not be affecting the experience of any other players who are wanting to actually complete the activity.

9 RepliesOne of the reasons for being banned from the help section: Habitual quitting or [b]idle behavior[/b] in matchmade activities i hope everyone posting that they are knowingly doing it gets banned. the levels/gear you are 'earning' are not legit and you are negatively affecting the game play of others.

2 RepliesCan we stop pretending that the people AFK farming are actually engaging in civil disobedience to try and bring awareness to a flawed system? Is that something we can all agree to do here? Yes, Bungie does need to do a major overhaul on their reward structure. However, EVERYONE that is AFK farming, is doing it out of pure self-interest, nothing more.
