Pressing sprint after sprinting cancles sprint? (on xbox)
While playing today with a friend both him and I quickly realized something. I always have had a habit of pressing my sprint stick a toooon after I was already sprinting, like an ADHD thing. I quickly realized it was canceling my sprint or starting a sprint with every press.
It honestly is really annoying to play with, seeing as I have been playing like this with this game for 6 years it impacts my gameplay, especially as a [i]hunter[/i], a lot.
Has anyone else happened upon this issue with Xbox controllers? Does anyone know how to fix the issue? Or of a fix that works?

Never been as put off by this game as I am right now....I’ve been playing since the beginning and this is the first time I have been so utterly put off by this game. Seriously, there’s a muscle memory built in me for the controls and spamming sprint is just how I play. Between that and my progress in gambit not registering one single bit today I am pretty spent on this crap. You go to their twitter page and it’s a laundry list of “we are currently investigating.......(fill in the blank)”. Get your shit together Bungie it’s embarrassing.

Yeah my hunter is supposed to be quick on his feet but now I can’t escape to cover swiftly anymore in strikes, I even just die by falling off the map because my hunter stops in midair, it’s so annoying

5 RepliesThis is driving me insane, I keep canceling sprint because I can charge up my dunemarchers or my hammer strike. Feel like I'm going insane, can't even play the game, wish I had of realized the change before I spent $30 on Silver to buy the season pass.

3 RepliesGame is unplayable 4 me until they fix the sprint issue. It's impossible to not accidentally double press the left thumb in pvp or challenging pve. Tired of this crap...maybe they'll have a fix in season twelve. until then the entire game is worthless.

2 RepliesYou can customize your sprint just go to button layout choose custom hit the reset and go from there (I guess they wanted it to be sorta like fortnite settings)

New sprint makes the game unplayable, cant run, ending walking, get dead. Taken the pace and playability out of the game. PLEASE PUT IT BACK HOW IT WAS !!!!!!!

Yep same issue here, bungie REALLY needs to change it back to how it was I mean it wasn't even broken to begin with it just baffles me. Its unplayable, wont be stepping into PVP until this is sorted so just struggling through grinding out pinnacles and having a terrible time.

In order to fix it back to hold you need to: Go to your Button Layout Select Custom Click Reset and choose your original layout then scroll down to where it says Hold Sprint and Toggle Sprint Go over the button on Toggle Sprint and unbind it Then bind the Hold Sprint to your sprinting button Closest I got to old sprinting.

Same thing happening on PS4. Looked in settings and controls and you can’t change it no matter what. I feel like a noob now cause I’m just walking 80% of the time now
