I wish Bungie expanded Crucible more like this. They seem to be stuck on one version of crucible instead of giving different options such as this. The option is either normal or Mayhem. There's no option for what you described. Playlists shouldn't exist solely based on numbers data either. Open the game up and give people options and watch the game naturally grow. Right now we have Rumble, Clash, Control, Lockdown, Competitive with a rotation of Mayhem and Iron Banner every month. I may be missing some, but those options get stale. One thing could be some new maps for a mode maybe called Stronghold. One team has the stronghold. The opposing team has to fight to capture points on the map slowly taking over the area as they work their way toward an all out assault on the enemy base. The capture points would turn into spawn areas for the team trying to take over the stronghold. If anyone has ever played Operations on Battlefield 1 or the 5, it's similar to that but would need to be designed from scratch around how Destiny plays. I just wish we had more options. After 5 years crucible should be in a much better state than it is today.
