You really that naive. Cmon. They were releasing it the same week as Borderlands 3 and they knew that was gonna drastically affect the sales and playtime. Think about how Titanfall 2 got squashed because it was released between COD and Battlefield. Bungie isn’t stupid.

Mate you're a goon. A couple of days isn't going to affect sales. If they were worried about Borderlands, they'd be moving it nearer to November or December.
-
Two weeks in video game release is an eternity to the industry.
-
Doubt that, bungie never would’ve the original date if it were borderlands related
-
Sorry but I didn't see Borderlands 3 anywhere on the Steam Director, am I missing something or what? Wait I found it but the release date is like April, wdym? Sarcasm btw

A two week delay won’t suddenly mean Borderlands 3 makes any less of an impact. It’s still in relative proximity
-
Itd be dramatically less. Think about it. If somebody had only enough for one game that week, they’d be choosing between the two similar type of games. With two more weeks, those people have had two weeks of Borderlands in them and would feel more inclined to go to something else after a nice little grind in the game. Simple psychology and business right there.
