It sucks when youre in a crucible match and you cant switch your weapon after dieing without it having any ammo when you spawn again.

59 RepliesHey all, We don't have any specific updates right now. The team is currently looking at this. Once we have some solid info for you, we'll let you know!

I just bought an SSD for my Xbox one X and it made no difference to the load speed. Some further research shows that the load time is halved when on an Xbox One S. Not sure what the differences would be on PS4 but would suggest you look into it more rather than just buying one like I did.
-
I think the reason why this happens is because both the xbox one and ps4 have internal hard drives instead SSD witch runs beautifully. The load time is nearly non existence. But bungie doesnt have stable servers witch is a 35% problem
-
I think everywhere in the game has the same problem ..... i’m almost expecting to have some computer voice pop-up tell me ... please wait the menu is the loading lol
-
3 RepliesWould recommend getting an external SSD USB Hard Drive and moving the game over to it. I’d did this and it improved speed of loading for all aspects of the game - menu speeds are now around 50% faster, not quite PC fast but definitely significantly better.
-
5 RepliesYou should sell that weak ass console and get yourself a pc. It would fix all your problems, even a decent pc is very much affordable now a days. A 1060 is cheap now a days
-
I’d add installing shaders doesn’t always work. The bar will fill but it won’t click. Initial load is annoying long too.
-
Serious fatigue sets in b4 boot-up.
-
6 RepliesIt's a hardware issue.
-
1 ReplyThey will address it in D3 on the PS5. At least they admit it is an issue unlike the sprint issue in D1 that wasn't addressed until D2.
-
buy pc. easy fix
-
I have an SSD, on an Xbox One X, and noticed no difference in menu speed compared to my stock Xbox One. Load times are great, and I have no lag during graphic-intense moments, but the menus...the menus just suck.
-
1 ReplyI can almost get a snack the time it takes to go through the menu. I’ve watched videos of people going through their menus lightening quick, getting back to the game in 4 secs or less. Mine takes longer just waiting for the menu to pop up. I can feel the hits while I wait. By the time I switched 1 weapon, I’ve re-spawned. Lol. Xbone 1.

2 RepliesShhhhhh.... You are feeding the PC Master race trolls
-
1 ReplyIt will take you about 4 seconds after pressing start!
-
6 RepliesPeople will scream "get an ssd." However, I don't know of any other online games that have menus this slow. I wouldn't be surprised if the culprit is their silly, yet complicated, netcode.

4 RepliesEdited by DanishWithaHole: 5/28/2019 8:08:01 PMIt’s a hardware issue with the consoles. The people that play on PC that can instantly change their load outs have $1,000s of dollars invested in to their computers. I have $800 invested in my PC and it’s not that quick. I did however install an SSD to my PS4 which helps with load times and UI. I am able to switch weapons before respawn. But it’s close.
-
Put the game on an external SSD, the load times are much better. Also have a one x or PS4 pro to make them even better. It’ll never reach pc standards but it’s still decent
-
SSD for now...PS5 Down the road.
-
An external SSD fixes this.. I use this one. Load times are filthy fast Kingston 240GB A400 SSD 2.5'' SATA 7MM 2.5-Inch SA400S37/240G https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01N5IB20Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_RrL7Cb4Z1Y6JS

It's an issue that stems from their ancient engine that they use. It's doubtful they'll ever fix it on consoles. It's already low on their "priorities", so I don't think we'll ever see even noticeable improvements.
-
2 RepliesI mean... it's annoying.... but so is not being able to change your ADS sensitivity from your non ADS sensitivity. Deadzones being locked at 24% is also horrendous.
-
2 RepliesAs well as fix the freakin press X to apply shader and anything else bug where you press X 80 times in a row to apply shaders and anything else Thanks
-
36 RepliesBungie can’t do anything about the potato processors in consoles, buy or build a pc and you will understand.
-
10 RepliesI’ll say it again, I installed D2 on to an SSD and it’s amazing. Just about instant menu / inventory load times and about 15ish seconds to fly to any destination.
-
1 ReplySwitch to an external SSD or get it on PC. You get what you pay for.
