The jump from pre forsaken to forsaken was huge. I think that proves a summit is a good idea.
The jump from pre forsaken to forsaken was huge. I think that proves a summit is a good idea.
I don't and this may be something you might not want to hear or will read all of it, but IMO it shows how lost this company actually is and makes no sense at all to me. Think about this for a moment, not trying to change your mind it's just simple truth. When you look at D1 on how the game was designed vs D2 the only thing D1 and D2 really have in common is the artwork. Most of what made D1 like the skill tree, parks, random rolls, exotics, RNG, how the loot system was designed throughout the entire game was changed in D2 that made D1 what it was that kept a lot of gamers interest on wanting to play and the game moved forward. D2 even with having more content as far as events, planets, a bigger vault space stuff like that that was added to the game is not even half of what D1 actually offered and that is because how D1 was designed to keep gamers engaged in the game. D2 literally had a whole entire new crew working on it and Luke Smith is the lead that never should have been a lead in the first place. The concept of being a Guardian was stripped from this game when D2 released and not one person had a say on how D2 was being created so Bungie being fully aware that the player base wanted D2 to move forward from D1 was literally ignored. Most of everything that D1 was built on was ignored to make a "new game" starting fresh. It has left Bungie these last couple of years spending all that time and resources giving only a smidge of what D1 offered. Forsaken offered something to gamers but because Bungie literally ignored D1 loot system as they still are and what the player base has suggested to actually improve the game to get it moving forward is still being ignored. What good does a "summit' do if the important things that can get the game moving forward are ignored? Examples...
Factions have been removed and Bungie has been avoiding the player base for what 8 to 9 months now like the plague. What good does a summit do when a hand full of streamers can suggest this company to completely changed the infusion system knowing no one asked for this but the streamers and Bungie and they were the only ones that had a say? What good does a summit do that is literally wasting all that money flying gamers out to the studio to wine and dine knowing Bungie can take that money and apply it to the game like bringing faction vendors back, giving the other vendors and actual inventory, adding strike specific loot?
I can make a mile long list of small things that this company already knows that would actually improve this game that the summit is a complete waste of time and money that only benefits Bungie and the streamers. (Bungie has had well over enough feedback from the player base in the last 4+ years and money given by the player base) that if they "need" this summit or any for that matter after working on a project since 2007 just to actually improve this game getting it to move forward after being in business for 30 years making games? Then they don't belong in business making games and it says 1 or 2 things here. Either they literally don't know what they are doing and have been out of touch on what the player base wants this last few years. Or This is another summit to use streamers to get gamers to tag along again.
