Cozmo

I've sent this feedback to the design team. Thanks for sharing. Here are the main reasons I have listed for why players would like Enhancement Cores removed from infusion are: • Players don't enjoy having to equip fresh powerful drops over prefered gear • Enhancement Core costs prevent players from looking they way they want • Enhancement Core costs prevent players from creating the builds they want • Infusion costs are already sufficient without the Enhancement Core requirements. If you have more reasons I don't already have listed, please share them. Thanks!

  • This^^^ Cozmo said he would take the info back to the dev team when the community blew up about this the first time. But you have a Investement Team that has been ignoring negative feedback from the community now for six months This is on them. Not Cozmo.

IMO I don't think they are out of touch. They know what they are doing especially knowing how empty the loot pool actually is, things like the faction vendors being removed, removed a lot of loot from the loot table. Notice how Tess is overflowing with cosmetics? Then there are random rolls that are far less then what D1 had that are set perks with most of it set for mobility that is ridiculous with set mods to each gear piece. We don't even have the option to use what we want to use when it comes to mods with certain gear. Set mods with set gear leaving fewer options, not to mention, but making y1 pretty much obsolete. So in their mind, overdoing the grind which is flawed logic is what will keep gamers around. This investment team is towing with the player base and that is a fact.

  • I didn't read all of the replies, so I apologize if this is a dup. One of the problems is trying to do new end game and feeling like you need to infuse your current gear which you have grinded for specific perks and have also invested mods in upgrading it. Just equipping new higher drops with poor perks unrelated to your build/loadout puts you at a disadvantage. Or having to break down gear you want to upgrade just to get your mods back. If you could recover mods, without breaking down the gear, it would alleviate some of the pushback about the current infusion req's.

  •
• Players don't enjoy having to equip fresh powerful drops over prefered gear
I enjoy having an organic reason to use other weapons, and adapting accordingly. I have been getting used to other weapons and even feel like I've found some "hidden gems" in the things that aren't well known as the meta
• Enhancement Core costs prevent players from looking they way they want
I'm not into fashion but this is only true until we reach max light. Once max light is reached, we can infuse what is important first then add additional things later. I consider this part of the endgame.
• Enhancement Core costs prevent players from creating the builds they want
Not really. It just means that people must prioritize what's important. again becomes more important once max light is reached and becomes part of the endgame.
• Infusion costs are already sufficient without the Enhancement Core requirements.
If by "sufficient" you mean "dirt cheap" then I agree. Infusion costs without cores are essentially nothing as i can't seem to spend glimmer or legendary shards fast enough. Maybe I'm in the minority here but I've never had a problem with thinking about what I want to infuse first rather than infusing one meta loadout all the way through up to max light. The current system gives me a variety of weapons to use and I like that. Also, I have found some great alternative weapons because of that.

Enhancement cores were just fine as a rare material to upgrade our gear further, letting them creep into infusion, a core levelling mechanic, was a bad choice

  • I refuse to buy those spider bounties to get cores. Who wants to stand around and wait for HVTs to spawn.

  • If you could re-roll the armor type i.e. mobile, restorative, resilient, then I would expect a high cost. Even master working cost is ok. But the cost to infuse is definitely too high to build out the way you want to play. You end up spending all of your time grinding cores to get really good loadouts just in time for a level increase to happen. Then it's the same thing all over again.

  • The problem is the armor it’s ugly af you need to come up with some new styles like carbon fiber or something we never see before some futuristic stuff

Carbon fiber is from the 1900's. I want some bronze stuff, or iron... looks more modern.

  • I rarely masterwork weapons because I feel like I need to spare cores to be able to infuse instead.

  • We've been giving you this feedback since Forsaken came out. Instead Bungie decided to rename masterwork cores. Not only that but then you decided to add masterwork cores as reward on the most grindiest bounties in the game just to artificially extend playtime and try to make people play in the Tangle Shore. Location that is useless once you unlock the Dreaming City, just like The Farm became useless after you unlock the Tower. Now your try to pull the "we are listening" card on us?? Who are you trying to fool?

  • How is this a useless location? Most of the map we have would be given this logic. At least there is a vendor there at the very least and stuff to do.

  • "At least there is a vendor there at the very least and stuff to do." Useless vendor just like all the other planetary vendors. There is no reason to go to the tangle shore. Not even for the Wanted bounty that gives you a powerful drop.

@Cozmo • Infusion costs are already sufficient without the Enhancement Core requirements. Without cores I would be happy for the planet mat costs to be increased to 75 and the glimmer cost to be doubled these are things that still require a time investment but are not as rare as Enhancement cores and we dont want to add anymore sources for cores as masterworking your items should be a costly choice! The point is when you gear/light gate content then infusion becomes something that is 100% required to enjoy the game and not a choice! so should not be punishing to the player.

  • nononononononononnononon. not the planet mats. I would be spending more glimmer and legendary shards on planet mats than cores.
