44 RepliesThe simple fact of the matter is; -we helped "shape" the game as is today -we were not "handed" stuff. I.E. materials, reputation, weapons, ECT.... If you wanted spinmetal to lvl your gear, spend hours farming. You want that nice rocket launcher that keeps killing you, pray to RNGesus. There was no instant lvl to 20-40, you had to work for it. The part all the non pre-HoW guardians, got to miss, is sending messages to random people in the tower to try and raid with. You wouldn't know how helpful the community was. What struggling in the game was like. The conversations in chat for hours, running chest loops.

This taken tot was spouting off at the mouth about how he was such a bad as and that my friend and the other random was playing rockets mcdickface wrong. After much arguing my friend offered to settle there differences in a private 1v1 he gave the taken tot choice of map, and refused to use his super or abilities to fight the kid. So with invective and his extremeophile he proceeded to wipe the floor with the taken tot. Just goes to show not all arrogance from veterans is with out merit. And just cause you feel like a bad as doesn't mean there isn't someone better then you no matter what year you're from.

The game you are playing today is because of the efforts of those players in acting as "beta testors" and essentially teaching Bungie how to turn this into a good game. So while THIS Beta player feels no need to lord that over others, make no mistake about it. This game would NOT be what it is today without us and our efforts on its behalf. Don't kid yourself.

I could never get a set of raid legs to drop for my warlock and there were no exotic legs in year one. I had to wait until iron banner had legs for sale before I hit 30 on my warlock.

The struggle when the classes had separate armour materials, so if you never played your alts as much as your main (like me) you barely had any.

Beta and alpha players shouldn't be proud of themselves. We encouraged shit behaviour from bungie and spent big money on expansions that should've been in the game. Make no mistake alpha, beta and day 1s are the victims here. I would love to start this game from the taken king. Not when it was half a game.
