Bungie,
Regarding the April update changes: removing High Caliber Rounds as an intrinsic perk defeats MIDA's purpose. It is supposed to be an anti-sniper weapon. The high use of sniper rifles has forced the use of MIDA due to the value of this intrinsic perk.
That said, if you're going to remove it intrinsically, put it on the perk tree. Remove Field Scout and replace it with High Caliber Rounds. Give users the option of an Agility boost for strafing or High Caliber Rounds to stick out an engagement against a sniper.
The reason I suggest removing Field Scout is that it no longer gives a magazine bonus and therefore does not fit the "Multitool" aspect of the weapon. It's literally one of the most useless perks in the game. High Caliber Rounds will enforce the Multitool feel and help the weapon maintain its value.
Edit:
Perhaps my point was lost. Here's a TL;DR version:
If you're going to remove (intrinsic) High Caliber Rounds, please replace Field Scout with High Caliber Rounds.

5 RepliesThe High Caliber Rounds were originally added for PvE purposes, not for Crucible. Why they chose to remove them now like it's gonna make a huge difference in its performance in PvP is unfathomable. It however puts a damper on its performance in PvE making it once again no better than a legendary scout rifle.

1 Replymida was the ONLY balanced exotic primary god for pvp AND pve !!!! they should have buffd other exotic primary's and then watch how the poularity of mida drop.... insted of giving options , they takeing them away by nerfing. start buffing weapons .

It's still going to be op. People are using it with lag switch perk too much
-
Destiny is Dead.
-
6 RepliesPeople who truly love mida will still use it, scrubs will gravitate to the next dominate gun...what I'm trying to say if your mad about the nerf you are a chump.

Coming from a warlock with a godawful k/d MIDA was not the end-all OP noskill weapon people thought it was. It didn't carry me to higher ranking. It was good, and i liked it, it didn't need to be nerfed.
-
3 RepliesField scout gives you extra reserves for pve bro. My mida has over 300 reserve rounds in the raid vs 160 or less with other scouts.
-
F uck you!
-
5 RepliesWow - people really are going nuts over this huh? Threatening to quit - delete characters and everything over a minor change? If you really want to whine - complain about the special ammo nerfs across the boards.....
-
Bungie is becoming more and more -blam!-ing useless! Destiny is already boring as hell.
-
2 RepliesBut its not an anti-sniper weapon. Its a balanced weapon, at least it used to be. I was a weapon that was middle-of-the-road in all manners. A general purpose, workhorse weapon that could do well in any engagement, but didn't excel in any of them. But then ARs got their teeth ripped out, hand cannons' accuracy fell through the floor, Pulse rifles had their shot patterns spread out, Fusion rifles -well they were just snapped in half, and shotguns were nerfed in every manner imaginable... ...and scout rifles were left alone. Anyway, beside the fact that its now the top of the food chain since every top tier predator has had its balls cut off, its not meant to be an anti sniper weapon.
-
5 RepliesBy removing the best anti-sniper gun in the game they are sending a clear message to me....don't play pvp unless you snipe. And I have to agree...I don't like that playstyle and without the HCR there is no reason to use mida...except if your the rift runner.
-
I agree. Where were all of u when people were asking for the mida nerfs?
-
2 RepliesMida grew in popularity. It is balanced already. Removing high caliber rounds isn't going to defeat its purpose or popularity. LETS KEEP IT MOVING.
-
Nope. Mida doesn't hit very hard, it shouldn't have high cal rounds, there's just no logic.
-
Yeah I'm just annoyed with that. There's no reason to remove it from the gun for pve.
-
I love when players tells bungie (the developers) how guns are "suppose" to work. *chuckle*
-
As long as a weapon is popular, it will get nerfed. We are better off mainly using the weapons we hate the most...

1 ReplyI'm beyond pissed at this. I don't care about PvP. I mainly play PvE. They keep making these changes based on the cries of the PvP players and screw over the PvE players in the end. I was tempted to get back to Destiny come Tuesday. But this is making me just want to stick to my current games. They are forever taking away perks and abilities that help greatly in PvE all because people whine about it in PvP. And that's unfair. Clearly they don't care About PvE. They should just say that and make Destiny a Titanfall copy.
-
7 RepliesI'm just surprised that they didn't destroy all scouts, just to nerf Mida. Like they initially did to AR's.
-
8 RepliesIt is not specifically an anti sniper weapon. It is a multi use weapon. Use a different weapon if you want to build an anti sniper weapon.
-
2 RepliesWell its not really exotic anymore when you think about it. It's a scout rifle with an agility boost now. That's it. They may ad well just have removed it.

1 ReplyApril 12.... that moment when you realize high caliber rounds really don't do much in the first place..... head shots cause enemies to stagger even with out
