So im getting close to having to side with one of factions and i'm wondering which one would be best. I've already been named general of the minute men and a roob (whatever they're rookie rank is) with the BOS and i'm wondering which one would be better to join. Minute Men seem to be more of a defensive group than attacking, the institute seems to be the easiest way to get my son back if i joined their ranks, but the BOS seems to be the ones who can really go toe to toe with the institute and why i'm leaning to join them.
What faction did you join and why?

The Minutemen will become the NCR. The Brotherhood will continue being thugs. The Railroad is almost a nonissue, but are idealistic fools that don't take responsibility for their actions. The Institute has failed in the past. I get that. However, their technology with the right leader, a leader who is sympathetic to the synths, intelligent and charismatic, and leads the Minutemen can pull humanity from the brink of extinction. For the Commonwealth!

I'm with the minutemen not because i want to help the Commonwealth, but for total artillery and ground support coverage.

The Minutemen. We blew up the institute

1 ReplyI chose the Minutemen, because I care about the people of the Commonwealth, not technology preservation or living underground with tofu people.
-
5 RepliesI did the special secret ending (don't ask me just look it up on YouTube) where you join railroad brotherhood and Minutemen to combine your power and defeat the synths

Minutemen. I like being to good guys, just trying to help out people in need. Always like doing the missions, helping out the settlements.

Ummm..... Railroad?

Minute Men originally with alliances towards Brotherhood and Railroad. Institute as second save.

Man. If only console modding was out, the I could finally get ballistic weave and the deliverer and forget I ever killed the railroad

Went from the BOS to the Institute once I found them. After talking with some of the scientists, I figured they were a better route to take than the weird neo -godwinslaw!- thing the Brotherhood has going on

6 RepliesInstitute, the best long term option. Think about it, they've got the technology to bring back a piece of past civilization. But the synths truly are an immoral creation, it's sad how they're treated by the Institute

Minutemen are the closest to my morals so i go with them. For the people by the people.

5 RepliesNo railroad? Good I don't consider them a faction anyways.
