Was iron banner worth it?
nothing dropped for me on the journey to rank5, what about you guys ?

Yup, I hit rank 3, got 299 boots as a drop, bought the class item and I haven't even played half as much as I usually do.

7 RepliesThis turned out to be one of the better IB for me, oddly. I was out of town until Friday and I've managed to make it most of the way through rank 4. Today's bounties should be enough to get me through to 5, at which time I'll stare longingly at the pulse rifle I won't be able to afford. Seriously, using legendary marks for IB gear doesn't make any sense with the drop rates as bad as they are.

It was worth it. Got everything to drop except the side arm. Even got the ship I think it was the y1 version.

Yes the weekly bounties helped me out to complete shaxx's pvp nightfall bounty.

3 RepliesGot everything a couple of times except the pulse only got the vendor one and got both ships to drop so yeah it was worth it. I think people went in with crazy expectations for drop rates because bungie didn't clarify on how much it was increased but ive definitely gotten more drops than i have in any other ib but ive put a fair amount of time into it as well

Played one game, got the hunter cloak as a reward and never went back

It felt easier than previous iron banners. I wish 2 pieces of armor were sold, but overall it was ok

Got to rank 4 and not one drop, only saw 2 drops in my fireteam the whole time, was a waste imo

All I pulled from rank 0 to 5 was the Titan mark and a pair of boots that luckily rolled well. I started on day one of this IB, so I didn't just cram it in these last few days with the bonus rep. The only other items I saw drop the whole IB for anyone was a bond, the boots, and a pulse for my brother and a sidearm for a random. Didn't see anything else drop for anyone the whole time. IB drops honestly seemed more likely before TTK despite them saying they increased the drop rate.

got to rank 5 on warlock just because i had some free time this weekend. along the way got the side arm and some boots. overall the rewards were definitely lack luster and if i didnt have the time I wouldnt have bothered doing it

been with a friend, he got 2 sidearms and 1 pulse rifle, I got nothing. Rng or not the drops are total shit. Also changing the buying from glimmer to legendary marks was also a retarded move thanks bungie.

I didn't get either weapon to drop, but I bought the pulse rifle and I am loving it.

I've my 3 characters at the level 5 for a total of 4 loots. Mostly useless with low light level. I bought the Lord Saladin's pulse and side arm which are good but I still find this IB very underwhelming. In previous IB: * you could get twice as much gear (2 previous round weapons + 2 armors were sold as well as the class item) * you could get max light level (either built in or with Etheric light) * the experience was better IMO (less exploit, less full premade vs PUG, less OP ultimates)

I got three bonds and two pairs of boots. Boots were the only thing I got that were above 290, but the fact that they are strictly PVP boots is pretty cool. I also hit rank 5 and got Nirwens Mercy, but I sacrificed my KDR unfortunately.

Got the old ship and side arm dropped twice for me both times with arc damage

1 ReplyI didn't get anywhere. I just didn't feel like doing pvp especially with the shadow shot glitch. I couldn't go in a game unharmed of that.

Boots dropped for my titan @ 300 and sidearm dropped @ 295 and bought the pulse. Worth it in a way. Not worth grinding 3 characters

Bad experience all around. I got 1 drop from ranking 1-5 and 1-2. On top of that being matched against premades made for a miserable experience. Only good part of it was grabbing the pulse at rank 5, love that gun.
