They said old weapons won't ascend in year two. Why would you waste time getting felwinter's lie if it won't be used in a month?
Edit: Lots of people are saying they do IB for other reasons. Most of those are perfectly fine. I was just criticizing those who are doing it for legendary weapons.
Also, the attack value isn't the only thing that will change in year two... shotguns are getting a nerf. That's a much more potent change.

Its still good for crucible, and with that roll, you don't even have to waste any motes. Im not bothering myself, but i can see why others would, even with the impending nerf.
