I know we're all bitching about our favourite weapons but this is a more important issue. We in the UK are once again being blatantly ripped off, more that anywhere on the planet it would appear.
This issue won't disappear no matter how hard you try or stick your heads in the same. There are a lot of unhappy UK gamers and we for once won't just take is up the a$$. $40 does not equal £40!!!
Sort it out Bungie. We want answers as to why we are being ripped off.
PS. Admins, deleting posts about this doesn't make it go away either.
Edit: We're getting charged $22 more than the U.S. Don't stand for this outrage.
Edit: A massive thank you to all the trolls, you're keeping this post trending. For once you're being useful.

Maybe you should be on Activ$on's forums…
-
Maybe I'm naive, but couldn't you just pay American money for the American version? It shouldn't matter where you're installing it right?

3 Replies1. Buy legendary edition 2. Sell HoW and TDB codes 3. ??? 4. Profit
-
2 RepliesOnly cost me £27 :)
I'm more than happy with the pricing
Well done for raising this issue again mate... I do enjoy the game but there is no chance I'll pay £40 for the taken king.... It's not the about the money, it's the principle .. We're getting shafted and anybody who does pay it is setting a dangerous precedent for what we'll pay for future releases.
-
If I lived in the U.K. I would send the message and not buy it.
-
It's unfair I agree

Edited by Reaper Uk: 8/7/2015 7:08:10 PMWhat annoys me is the likes of game informer and ign could surely question this when interviewing deej or Luke but they don't. You would think they wound want to get answers for the fans. I love destiny but haven't preordered yet as it just doesn't sit right with me that it's not converted properly. Not saying I won't but kind of hope that they will do something about it.

Go onto simply games, search for the taken king, and the legendary edition is currently 35 pounds, until Sunday But that, and sell everything but the taken king You're welcome :)
-
"Disparity not sorted" sorry youth it has nobody in UK buying it. As for your sympathetic Yankee cousins sarcasm and irony and now maths have never been their strong point. For me gonna wait for the inevitable price drop. Might spend they money saved on the $20 shaders the yanks were whinging about. Now that's Irony !
-
We paid the same in £'s as they did in $'s for the first two DLCs. We have missed the boat.
-
Buy from the US marketplace like I did, Much cheaper!
-
there is more to this then 40 bucks does not equal 40 pounds. 40 bucks is pre tax. 40 pounds is post tax. what needs to be looked at is if 40 bucks is equal to 32 or 33.34 pounds (I've read that vat is 20% but the numbers seam to be lower.on the websites) this does not make up all of the difference in prices but it makes about half of it.

4 RepliesEdited by Titan: 8/7/2015 4:43:50 PMI'm not buying it, along with many UK players. It's a stupid marketing strategy to squeeze fans this hard, so early in the game, when turning away for good is easier. Only time will tell if losing so many customers becomes a problem later on. Bungie seem to think they can stand the loss so we'll see. My guess is a mega price slash soon, that would explain this artificially inflated price. The smart money says don't buy at the first price you're offered - don't prove Luke Smith right by throwing your money at the screen no matter how much he insults you. If you accept this deal right now, it will get worse and worse over the 10 years, until sometime in year 8 when they ask a price you really can't afford. What will you do then?

8 RepliesOkay why do all these children here feel the need to compare high prices to forced anal sex? I just don't get it, just say you feel you're being charged to much no need for such dramatics. Try being someone in America who has to choose between the ridiculously over priced medicine they need to live and food. Then complain about how Bungie is "f**king your ass" for charging $20 more. Anyway, to answer your question, you guys really brought this upon yourselves when you paid 35£ or 40£ for the other dlcs. The dlcs that have probably half the content of ttk combined. You sent a very clear message to Activision that you don't care about exchange rates and they set this price accordingly. That's the proper way to conduct business in capitalism and it's sure as hell not exclusive to Activision or America.
-
It's really not that big of a deal, at least in my mind (I'm American but I live in Europe). You should be able to afford it if you live in the UK, everything's already expensive as hell there.
-
buy the physical copy. the digital ones are always overpriced in your foreign countries.
-
6 RepliesBungie set the price. Your country -blam!-ed it up. Talk to the UK about it.
-
UK taxing issue still not sorted
-
1 ReplyDESTINY IS AWESOME!!!!!!
-
Nor will it be. Atleast it's the legendaries edition is £13 cheaper
-
8 RepliesThink of it as import tax
-
BUUUUUUUUMP
-
2 RepliesIt's pretty much been swept under the rug. There probably won't be a price change unless TTK's UK sales are low, after it's already come out.

17 RepliesI saw that it's £40 for the digital download of Taken King only, or £46 for the retail copy of Taken King Legendary Edition at Tesco. I then saw that I had £23 worth of Clubcard Points, and that Tesco was doing double points when buying Taken King. So my price for Taken King is £0. Sounds good to me.
