Shit needs to stop. I'm getting too much hate because you all are only taking bosses into account, and not crowd control, which the Gally sucks ass at. Let's all go our separate ways. I'm going to try to delete this. Call me a noob all you want, because it isn't going to change one simple thing.
You obviously suck if you depend on that thing. Meanwhile we who don't will go and be able to use every other exotic in the game, proving our skill, and laugh when its useless against the new bosses that aren't bullet sponges. The purpose was to address elitism, and I see it's an issue that will remain. I'm ignoring this so I can stop saying the same thing, not because I believe I lost.
Also if you shoot the HoC from above you'll see how I got those 30 kills.
Edit: Damn necro. Anyways, I got a Gally. Definitely still a crutch. Two rockets to the Winter Kell and a couple of Pulses. Definitely better for a single enemy. Still prefer my HOC for clearing adds.

If people need you to have gally they suck not you. They want to be carried not you. I talked 2 friends through a 35 neither had gally both had the game less than a month skolas isent had it just anoying and boring tbh cant wait for a raid in ttk

6 RepliesActually Ghally will still be top dog just not as good as it was

13 RepliesEdited by Zoop: 8/10/2015 2:05:01 PMWhile i agree its silly people require ghorn for every activity, but stating its simply a tracking with clusters, you are gravely mistaken (and frankly, you dont know what you are talking about). The reason ghorn is so powerful, the clusters actually track and thus all hit the target (unlike with the hunger where 90% of the clusters drop aimlessly to the floor). This ghorn does a little bit more than double any other rocket could do. So its the hardest hitting rocket there is. Hunger of Crota doesnt even come close. I wouldnt bet on it that the nerf will change much. If the wolfpacks are getting nerfed, is still most probably the hardest hitting rocket. So instead of requiring 2 ghorns for POE, 3 will be required, only worsening the situation. Nerfing isnt gonna help shit, unless they nerf it to be useless. Bungie should come up with bosses who are more than mere bulletsponges. Hit it with lots of damage till its dead, ofcourse most people will want to see Ghorns for that task, as it simply is the best one up for it. Ofcourse you can use any other heavy just as well, itll just take more shots, and the majority of people are idiots who only want it done as fast as possible and rely too much on a single weapon. Just saying, im pretty sure youll be really dissapointed how little will change with the nerf. So save your laughing.

Funny people think it's going to suck. It won't lol.

6 RepliesEdited by albinomachina: 8/10/2015 2:23:40 PMI'll be willing to bet that after the nerf Gjallarhorn will still be the best rocket launcher in the game. Especially when you can't ascend Hunger of Crota past 365 damage. edit - also after the nerf people are going to require more gjallarhorns than they did before it went into effect. Especially if the new boss is anything like Skolas.
-
Skolas with the small arms mod, hawkmoon and possibly thorn are as effective as the Gally. Anybody that thinks anything in this game can't be done without one is a fool
-
It isn't that big of a nerf, I'll still be collecting those tears come September 15th
-
I agree with you tiger just because you son have the galahorn doesn't mean they should not let you play or throw insults at ya I'm just saying at least come its hard to find a fire team for raids especially crotas end I've been searching like a mad man to find players
-
Bungee jump
-
The new fusion rifle heavy will be the next required idem.
-
Sleeper stimulant> Gjallarhorn
-
Ghal will still be the best. Sorry, not sorry.
-
Those people you were teamed with, and half of LFG, need to realize that you don't "NEED" Ghorn for anything. Yes, it can help, but definitely not required... As for Crota, before I ever had a Ghorn, I used to use Truth, then once I got one, I used Hunger.
-
1 ReplyYup - totally sucks when you are excluded from activities because of one particular gun. To me, someone insisting on Ghally is more a reflection on the person demanding it, whether they are elitist or more likely looking to be carried themselves cos they are incapable of skilled playing with other weapons. Bungie could easily have got around this problem by designing encounters where rocket launchers were ineffective, instead they are waiting for ttk
-
5 RepliesYou do not need Gjallahorn for level 35 PoE. Anyone that insists on it being used is not very good at the game. It is helpful yes, but not a necessity.
-
Haha chill man Gjallarhorn will still be the strongest rocket if nothing comes out that's better which I doubt Your acting like it's getting severely nerved Chill.
-
Yep, a lot of my machine guns have them. Pre house of wolves
-
Git Scrubbed Gud
-
Lol Gjallarhorn a must for POE 35? Wow. I'm glad I play with the same people we all have it and we hardly use it. Skolas takes teamwork not Wolfpack rounds. N Crota takes brains it's easy now.
-
random moronic noob, git gjally scrub
-
Another gjallarhorn thread.
-
Ghorn is not needed for PoE. Enemies spawn at health intervals so you only need to concentrate on killing those adds. You can tap skolas with what ever you want, that's not the important bit.
-
5 RepliesSo basically after the nerf more people will need the Ghorn. Even less chance for you to enter a LFG group.
-
It's not needed it was never at any point needed. It's because dumbasses bitched "I can't get into anything because I don't have ghorn nerf it nerf it" instead of just making their own lfg post.
-
If we were on the same console i would be more than happy to help with any end game content bud. Anyboby who requires ghorn either wants to burn through content fast or is trying to compensate for their lack of skill.

2 RepliesThe nerf will make it even worse in my opinion. Now everyone will ask for even more people with gallys as it will still be the hardest hitting rl in the game.
