Shit needs to stop. I'm getting too much hate because you all are only taking bosses into account, and not crowd control, which the Gally sucks ass at. Let's all go our separate ways. I'm going to try to delete this. Call me a noob all you want, because it isn't going to change one simple thing.
You obviously suck if you depend on that thing. Meanwhile we who don't will go and be able to use every other exotic in the game, proving our skill, and laugh when its useless against the new bosses that aren't bullet sponges. The purpose was to address elitism, and I see it's an issue that will remain. I'm ignoring this so I can stop saying the same thing, not because I believe I lost.
Also if you shoot the HoC from above you'll see how I got those 30 kills.
Edit: Damn necro. Anyways, I got a Gally. Definitely still a crutch. Two rockets to the Winter Kell and a couple of Pulses. Definitely better for a single enemy. Still prefer my HOC for clearing adds.

I agree that it's stupid people say things like that but you're wrong about the Gjallarhorn. It's still going to be amazing. Reducing the damage of the Wolfpack rounds will only slightly reduce the amount of DPS it does. It will probably increase the need for multiple Gjallarhorn's in one Fireteam to compensate for the lost damage.

I wouldn't know. I haven't done skolas since week 3 of this horrible xpac

1 ReplyU had my attention until u tripped into a pile of shit "my hunger is more efficient"..
-
Edited by iInfinityLimit: 8/10/2015 7:21:45 PMNot for $40 it's not
i bought the bundle. And will sell my original game :)
1 ReplyThe endgame dilemma is elitism, and humanity has been trying to get rid of it for centuries now to no avail. So don't get your hopes up for anything like that in TTK, cause that's just unrealistic.
-
You have no idea how much it will be nerfed. I'm assuming it's gonna be really good still for single target dmg. Just not twice as good. Which is fine.
-
I remember the days when you used to get kicked from crotas raid if you used any of those guns that you just mentioned. Fatebringer the exception.
-
Point I thread?
-
Most are Not good with any other rocket launcher than the ghorn. Because if you have it. There is no reason to use any other RL. Most of the damage comes from wolf pack rounds. So people fire in the air and say damn I'm Leet.
-
You need to find other people to play with, its them not the need (or lack of) Gally. Seriously, find other people. I've had Gally nearly since I started in sept. I have never cared if someone has it or not, and I will continue to not care. Took guys through CE who had never done it, neither had any exotics or legendaries to speak of. It's not necessary. As for the Nerf, won't comment. Going to wait and see.
-
1 ReplyNah, the update will make people require even more gjallarhorns.
-
Was in agreement until that line about hunger.
-
No Gally Scrub
-
1 ReplyThe nerf is going to make people with gally even more exclusive I don't see why people don't understand this.. Lol with Wolfpack rounds damage being reduced people will want more gallys even more than before for 3 X the damage for Skolas or any other mission which people require it already.. People without gally just need to stop being so butthurt and thinking that it's a big FU to gally owners with the nerf.. They will call on gally owners even more now... I have three on X box and don't have one on PS yet but don't care... Still beat Skolas without it.. people who don't have it just give up because they don't have one and accept the fact they won't beat him because of an unobtainable weapon.. Stop being a whiny bitch and a quitter and get in there and do it it's been done trust me I know from experience..

2 RepliesAgreeing so far* Says hunger is better than jelly* You're retarded*
-
Hunger is more efficient ? Let's see. No proximity , one less rocket , worse stats , rocket + cluster does the same damage as just Wolfpack rounds , clusters are shit. Not to mention that Gjallarhorn will still be the strongest rocket launcher after the nerf
oh the non Ghorn owners stay salty
-
Edited by CavScout00: 8/10/2015 6:44:23 PMThe nerf will only entice ghorn users to group together for bullet sponge bosses. Wait and see. POE is the only time ive seen it a request for all members. Mainly because they dropped the burns. VoG and CE you were fine as long as a couple had it to down crota and solo gatekeepers. Hezen Vengeance is the closet thing you can get to a ghorn dealing damage to a single target. Clusters are more for bulk enemies in an area. Heavy weapons are pretty much only used on bosses or to clear out enemies if your about to be over run.
-
Seems like they're also fixing the problem by making Sleeper Stimulant a boss killer and by making it a quest reward it's not as subject to RNG either.
-
2 RepliesTime to shine even more my precious thunderlord. Ps. Got all weapons in the game aside from the truth tho
-
6 RepliesMost people who ask for gjally as a requirement are the true noobs or people who need carrying. You will see them on lfg wanting gjally only players for skolas. You click on their name and they usually have vanguard gear and a half levelled exotic and no raid progress. Most pro players/year 1 veterans know its unecessary to require gjally for anything in game.
-
I don't think they need to nerf it
they actually need to just remove the gun. It causes too many problems and such a separation.
-
Sorry bro hunger is not more efficient than the gjallahorn. Maybe it'll kill more ads but it won't do more damage than it. Not nearly. That's why it's being nerfed
-
The jellyhorn has a much higher dps then everything and after the nerf (which is essentially -30% dps )will still outshoot the hunger
-
If you had a Ghallarhorn you'd feel differently. Sorry for your luck...just sayin

Edited by Swiftlock: 8/10/2015 6:33:27 PMIf bosses are still just stupid, slow waddlers who spam non-stop splash damage and force you to keep your distance with their cheap ground pound attacks, then no, the endgame dilemma won't be solved. It'll still come down to what weapons hit the hardest over long distances when almost every major endgame enemy requires the exact. same. tactics. with few exceptions like Crota and the like. What kills regular unmodified trash mobs the most efficiently is irrelevant since they're pretty easy to deal with regardless.
-
Totally agree with you!
