are you OK with the no raid part now?
just checking if people still think it's as bad as they said it would be because of the no raid thing
Edit: IMO I love prison of elders. I always stopped at the abyss on crota's end just so I can sit there and kill a ton of thralls and Knights and I couldn't stop doing that, when I heard of PoE I was WAY too excited

The quality of everything bungie has released for this game has been great (aside from the story, obviously). Do I feel I got $20 worth of content? Not really. Went through the story in under an hour, on the hardest difficulty, and PoE will only be challenging until you figure out the right strategies and reach 34. I'm 33 on all my characters already. In a day. Already found a few good strategies for each of the arenas as well. I'd be finished with this in a few days if rewards weren't locked behind a weekly reset. A raid would have been more content and would have made this almost worth the $20. So unless we get that for free somewhere down the road, I can't say I'm "okay" with not having a raid. All in all, I don't think I can justify buying more dlc for this game. Might stick around for the comet expansion, might not.

I think the prison of elders is great. I think it's fun and challenging.

I really enjoyed the loot chest at the end, feels rewarding to open it. But I do miss going into Crota for the first few times not really knowing where to go or what to do. Brought an old school sense of challenge back. Then the cheesing started and the challenge ended unfortunately. If they could just design something like VoG/Crota while at least attempting to discourage cheesing then it'd be a lot more fun for players and also challenging like end game should be

Yes I like it more than a raid. Also to those people saying they wish it was a 6 man activity you're missing the point. Bungie released information and I believe they said about 21% of the community does raids, so they wanted to make something that didn't require so much effort to get a group together. ( to those that say use a Destiny LFG app or website a lot of people don't like to because it feels too impersonal.) PoE was meant for the rest of the community that can't put together a 6 man team as well as those who can. We got 2 raids already and with Crota being as boring as it is giving Bungie some time to make a new one as well as giving us a great mode like PoE is something I'm 100% OK with. :)

I'm not complaining. I can't usually find a raid team so just went on the level 28 PoE and got my first Truth out of the chest. I also got a machine gun which looks like it'll be a bit like jolders hammer( it's on my warlock).

2 RepliesNo. PoE is in no way a good replacement for a proper raid. It's horde mode....probably the most brainless mode that they could have brought to the game, both from a developer and gameplay perspective. There is no challenge other than the enemies, no puzzles, no gameplay changes like teleporting. I've never been one to do raids or anything more than I have to to get loot so re playability would have been good, adding modifiers isn't new, it's obvious. As usual it's just not enough. It's more obvious every day how badly this game was chopped before realease, 7 months to develop a horde mode....really.....don't think so. 7 months to develop the crappiest 'social space' I think I've seen. Wonder what new stuff there will be in the story.........omg the -blam!-ing vault of glass.......7 months, nothing new.

yeah, PoE shits on any raid. Well we will have to see in summer for the new raid. My hopes are high for that, with this beast of DLC!
