There is/was a bug that would prevent you from interacting with the Darkness Statue if you had a specific Micah-10 quest from The Final Shape in your quest log.
Can you check your characters quest log for the 'The Veiled' quest? if you have it, can you complete that quest and then recheck the Darkness Statue to see if it will let you interact with it to claim Stasis?
