The Estoc issue will likely also require a nerf to BXR as well. Both have significantly better range stats and reduced recoil compared to other lightweight frames. This is why they are so lethal compared to Stay Frosty and Chattering Bone - which are good guns don’t get me wrong but they’re not OP. I don’t think they’re going to specifically nerf Zealots. Closing Time is already on the chopping block for special weapons, and that’s 90% of what makes Zealots so good.

Ive barely used estoc, and i disagree. Having a really good gun to get is what draws people into pvp. That should be the priority right now. A rug pull would just have those people leaving through the front door

Good luck nerfing Estoc in a way that won't screw over other guns immensely or invalidate any incentive to grind it, and Zealot isn't the problem so much as the fact it, a special weapon, is always benefitting from Under Pressure and Closing Time. Seriously, the stat differences between Estoc and BXR are negligible, it's the stocks that give it so much leeway that you can get rolls with 80 range, 90 stability, and 60-70 handling and reload BEFORE perks like Zen Moment or Perpetual Motion. There's no good reason to nerf stats that are already lower than the literal only other alternative, so AA will be left alone. Estoc isn't getting nerfed like people are expecting without it coming back to bite them. And if it's only 1-2 perks or a combination of perks that make a gun a problem, I'd say the problem would be the perks. But tell you what, convince Bungie to give me a Rose with stats matching my best roll of 79 range, 86 stability (Elemental Capacitor, void), and ICR the handling/ reload, then give Keep Away and Magnificent Howl and I'll gladly advocate for more nerfs to a weapon that was literally designed to be among the best in class. Deal? You get to fight fewer Redrix and Zealots, and I get incentive to use a (renewed again) gun for more than just it's stats as it becomes both THE pvp monster and one of the best in PvE. Seriously, the only reason I don't use Rose is because it has no good PvE rolls and maximum effectiveness is behind a subclass I may not always want to use. Hell, I'll settle without Keep Away since that's only 2.3 meters. Again, deal? Though, I suppose I could just grind Fatebringer, maybe the adept if I ever get around to finding a group for it, but I like the sights of Rose more as they're easier to see, and despite how ugly it looks on damn near everything, the Sugarcoated shader from FOTL looks AMAZING on Rose and one other I can think of.
