Attention all Freelance comp players please stop holding your super till the last round. Use it and then get kills and get it back. Crazy idea I know. Holding it until you are the last player in the last round DOES NOT HELP THE TEAM.
-
So they should just rush in and waste it instead of using it at the right time.

1 ReplyEdited by o Apollyon o: 11/26/2019 2:01:06 AMSorry not sorry, but as a warlock, i cant afford to waste my single use super on 1 player. I need it to put down the OP titan and hunter supers

That striker titan waiting for me says otherwise

2 RepliesThis is really subjective. I mean, sure if someone has a roaming super or something they can use to get the advantage then great, but some supers are better used when you know the other teams has already used theirs so you won’t just trigger a counter, or if your super is a counter there’s no point to use it till the other team pops theirs. Also, there are apparently a lot of “skilled” players that aren’t all that skilled so they may not even get their super until the match is almost over. (What I mean by skilled is that for some reason SBMM is throwing them in a game where they are going 0.13 KDA because “skilled based matchmaking”😆) - A better post might be “how to gain super energy faster in comp” explaining to the misunderstood masses that they don’t have to wear void armor just because they are running a void subclass, or that they should pick the armor that best fits their builds rather than running whatever has the highest light, what things like ashes to assets or remote connection does for people on their class items. I get that maybe people don’t have these mods, but I see a lot of people running intellect mods who spend a lot of time dead because they have a really low resilience and recovery. Surprise: you’re going to build your super faster when you can STAY ALIVE and GET KILLS than you will with a high intellect if you’re just keep dying 👍 - also a lot of people not running mods that “gain more super energy on X kills” even though they are constantly sniping, or using handheld super novas, shotgunning, or whatever. For those who don’t understand, my intellect is usually around 4 (41-49) and running enhanced remote connection and sniping i usually have my super by the middle of round 2 whether my team is winning or losing 👍 Sorry you’re getting so frustrated over people not popping their supers in freelance. I get it, freelance since that last update to matchmaking has been pretty frustrating (personally). But posting on the forums telling people how to play isn’t going to fix that unfortunately. Most the people on the forums probably aren’t the problem anyway 🤷🏼♂️

1 ReplyI love the guy that pops it to kill last one or two enemies when we still have lives in the bank and zone come up!
-
This is true but also there so many variables that counter the argument also. My main one is if someone on your time pops a roaming super push with them, that way you may pick off a run ing target and also avoid enemies spawning behind you and picking you off.
-
I only use my nova bomb to shut down roaming supers to cut the bullsh** and to prevent any more deaths.

Trials mentality. That approach works in Elimination, but not in Survival.
-
What Super? We still have supers? It takes so long to get one I forgot we even had them... /s
-
Now that it takes soo long for super to return, I forget that it is even a thing in pve or pvp.

Edited by Sarah Rose: 11/26/2019 3:52:14 PMNo reason to use super when you're ahead on lives. Well... unless you're shutting down a super.
-
It’s my super and I’ll use it when I want to!

Wow your post didn't go to far. Even found my other comment. Stop feeding the enemy kills because that's the only way you get super energy anymore in crucible and maybe work with your team then we can talk.

1 ReplyI like when they hold it till last round and pop it in the most peculiar ways. Here some of my favorites from just this weekend from my awesome teammates. 1. Popped super on top of a suppression nade that hit him in the face and fell at his feet. 2. Blade barrage popped in a panic. Kills 2 and 1 lives but guy popping barrage flings himself off map for that -blam!- miss adventure. 3. My absolute favorite. Both teams down to 1 left. My teammate is rocking a bubble and a dust rock blues in overtime. Both run for capture point. Teammate catches some fire and pops bubble 40 yds from capture point and behind cover waiting for hunter to rush in. Hunter starts dancing on flag. Titan finally notices that hunter is captuing flag for win. He makes it all the way to zone and bang zone captured right before his kill shot. Game over we lose.

Do you mean “The Team” that’s always litening to our feedback? That’s who I’m saving my super for.
-
Holding it isn't the issue. The actual issue is people use them are the worst possible times. You need to use it when you know you can score double/triple kills regardless of when. Use it as a ditch to take a round isn't worth it unless both teams are out of lives.

1 ReplyIm always the first to use super in comp, I win 90% of the time. The times I lose is because I get sniped out of it lol
-
It's situational, but I've watched people with a super just sit on it for the 5 matches they had it. Even if it was a clear win if they'd just pop it and kill the last 2 opposing guardians. Then I've watched people pop their super 5 seconds after I do and follow me around with theirs like we're going to be the Avengers or some crap. They're most useful when you can shift the match to your favor with one, to get the heavy spawn or get a long range lane camping group scurrying. Or to basically negate another super on the other side with yours and get one kill. I would say the first person to get their super should be using it quickly though, get your teammates some orbs and get the advantage for another match.

5 RepliesMe: *Pops a bubble in front of a group of 3* Fireteam: *doesn’t goes though it and runs the opposite direction of the enemy (running away)* Me: *Surround by OEM strikers and dies* I’m not even going to bother popping a super if I have incompetent teammates like that again.

2 RepliesSo I bet you’re on a lot of teams where all 3 of you burn through your supers in the same round? Without communication it’s a crapshoot. If you have an aggressive teammate, wait to see what they’re going to do. Odds are they’ll use their super ASAP. If you can then win the round without using your super, save it. Why in the world would you give up your advantage for the next round? If you have timid teammates (you know the ones... they literally turn and look at you at the beginning of each round to see what you’re going to do...), then you probably should rush in and use your super to gain a quick advantage in the round. What actually happens most of the time? People rush to use their super and either trade or get shut down. The best tip to give is... if your teammate casts a super, follow them and collect their orbs and help mop up. Most enemies will jump around or run away... this is an easy time to pick them off.

This is the number one problem in COMP this season. Its not even close. So aggravating......
-
You’re not the boss of me.

Had a friend try and solo to the Mida catalyst. Lost at 5500 for this very reason. Teammates just sitting on their super until the very end or just never using it at all.
