Wow, I am so sick of shotguns
Every single game there are kids that use shotguns the whole game and get away with it. Bungie, you guys said you nerfed these and the special ammo, but it sure doesn't look like it.
Go ahead and say I'm a scrub because of my KD. But I refuse to conform to being a shotgun scrub in crucible. Shotguns are an issue, and need to be addressed.
I'm ready to be flamed and recieve the usual treatment that comes from these threads, but I don't care.
Edit: idk who necro'd this, but my stance remains. To all those saying I suck, you're the ones probably running around with Felwinter's Crutch.

I love my Felwinter, it is the best gun in the game and the only CQ weapon needed. It is beast mode in PvE as well. IF you cant beat em, join em. If you refuse, you keep dying, simple. You could also work on getting better with ranged weapons so you aren't running into me with your auto rifle that you refuse to change out for a pulse rilfe

OK, but see the problem with these stupid posts is that the people complaining about it only play crucible. Say bungie listens to this guy, shotguns would get a Nerf and then again be even more useless in pve. If ur sick of shotguns, play pve

The main issue is blink jump + shotgun, this shouldn't be rewarded as well as it is, there are easy ways around it, but you shouldn't have to alter you entire game play around a single technique, they also need to remove more of the damage fall off, although REAL shotguns have a very good range, in a video game, these should be 10 ft or less to be 1HKO not the 25-30+ that it is, the maps don't allow a good enough counter to it, unless using a similar shotgun of your own.

Felwinters lie- the lie is, its a sniper rifle. Other than it though shotguns arnt a problem, just dont be dumb and run around blind corners (knowing someone is there) and maintain your distance from them. Shotguns are going to be one shot kills at close range. Its logicle. And thats how it is in every game. Just play smart and dont be tricked into hunting them down and ending up prey. Instead make them hunt you, And kill your prey from afar

nerf shotguns they say ok then kid if you want bungie to nerf shit how about they nerf the warlocks fusion grenades axion bolt Titans super Titans shoulder charge the nova bomb of a warlock the melee of a warlock how about nerf heavy ammo make it were it takes 2 rockets to kill someone or even better 20 bullets from any machine gun heavy to kill someone kid stfu the game is good I don't complain about shotguns I use one but not the entire match I just use it at close quarters almost dead getting rushed by a titan

It helps to assume everyone has a shotgun. I just double jump backwards pull out my fusion rifle and laugh. Then I go to the fastest lane to find him up to his old tricks so I do it again!

4 RepliesI'm not going to say you suck, but you do have a lot to improve on. May I recommend playing more conservatively? Also headshot help. I agree, many times you do see shotguns in PvP, but it's more about how you react. Most kids think running right up to you will get them the kill (Against you they probably will), but I like to kill them before they get that close to me. My point still stands from a few days ago, Only people with negative K/D's complain about PvP.

3 RepliesIt's the maps really. To small with tight corners. There are only 2 large enough maps to make shotties useless and one is dlc rotation only, the other is now combined arms rotation only. Until there are more maps that make shotties less useful that's what people are going to use. And should or they're idiots.

5 RepliesIf shotguns are so op use a shotgun the entire game see how far it gets you. Honestly I hate to say it but shotguns do take skill. Closing distance, timing, map awareness are huge when using a shotgun. You wouldn't realize any of this until you equip a shotgun and go against people who have been using them since launch.

Nerfing special ammo did nothing. It was the most pointless change ever. People start with less ammo. Just go to one of the numerous ammo crates around the map and have full ammo. I preferred the fusion rifle spam in Crucible. There was a least a little bit more variety.

Oh I do use Felwinter's Rage because thats all I get when I kill with it, another thing the rate of fire on it sucks and a scout rifle or hand cannon tends to down most run an gun shotty users. they Nerfed the range of shot guns and buffed the impact so if you run across someone with range perks is what makes the gun worth a -blam!- in the first place
