loot cavers ruin the community
You people honestly are ruining the community and the game. The idea that you should have great stuff without working for it is detrimental to the entire community. It's as simple as that.
Now please makeup some lame excuses about gameplay mechanics as a rebuttal.

CAN WE STOP THIS ANNOYING BS, this comment is serious and factual (IMO). read it If someone is going to sit in front of a cave for 5 hrs a day and have a CHANCE of getting legendary engrams and those engrams have a CHANCE of actually being a legendary item, let them and quit saying they ruin the community. Its probably a 1/50 chance of getting legendary engrams and a 1/20 chance of turning those engrams into legendary items. so on average that would mean the people would get 1000 engrams before actually getting a legendary item. If you worried about your own character more than what others are doing, you could grind strikes for that long, get a faction reputation to rank 2 and get all legendary gear by time that cave farmer got 2 legendary items they will actually keep. Think about both sides logically please

I sat at the cave for a bit last night, it was some of the most fun I've had in the game. People were just chilling, shooting and doing the events and NPC battle whenever they dropped. Without voice communication we could even tell who were working on things like Super bounties, any time somebody popped theirs the bullets would stop. The way I see it, Bungie just killed the single biggest social event in their social game.

1 ReplyIf I actually got rewarded for doing strikes, I would go to the cave looking for the rewards that I deserved to get from strikes. I've bought every piece of legendary/exotic armour, and all my legendary/exotic weapons came from raid, crucible, exotic bounty, and maybe one from the cave. Never have I got anything useful from doing the same 5 strikes 60 times (mostly lvl 24). So yes I use the cave. When I did a strike and got no reward, I'd go to the cave to see if my rewards got stored there.

What makes farming bad anyway? Does it effect you in any way? No. Does it make someone better than you in PvP? No. Is it a long tedious process for slim rewards? Yep. Has it ruined your experience in any way? No. Farming is a tedious way to get gear. Rarely do you get a good reward from it. It has no effect in PvP, its only for gear in PvE. So unless your a fallen or vex, it shouldn't matter to you.

6 RepliesAt what point is it your right to tell another person who has paid their money to do what they can and cannot do that's just messed up you have no point in life other than going on here and posting this garbage its people like you that do this video games are about going through the game your way if you want to prestige to 10 fine what ever if you want to farm engrams all day and then play the story by all means it's your 60+dollar experience to enjoy

I tried it out for a few hours and the only worth while thing I got out of it was upgrading Bad Juju ... which really isn't all that great EXCEPT for shooting mobs in a straight line running out a cave. Every piece of gear I've gotten has been from running dailies, weeklies, and grinding out epic bounties. Stop bashing anyone who gave it a shot. In the end it likely gained them very little and they would have done better for themselves just doing what I've been doing. Also, the fact that there is no economy in this game (i.e. no trading) means issues like the treasure cave have zero affect on you except MAYBE the odd Ironbanner match. There again, though, anyone who just plays the game will be plenty well geared to compete.

Working for it? The loot is randomly generated. You could have been the most useless person in a strike, and still get the best gear. If you don't like loot caves, don't use them, but leave the people who do like them be.

Does loot caves affect you...or the way you play?....no I didn't think so...you did not buy our game and we did not sign a waiver saying not to farm that way...so yall need to stop whinning....please...it's getting old...they patched the spawn time it's over...but we do not affect the way you play...
