Am I the only one having pretty much no banner weapon drops?
I played several games excited to get the new assault rifle and I got plenty of armor pieces to drop but the only weapon I had dropped was a rocket launcher nothing else. It seems like a ridiculously low drop rate for the weapons for something that's only around for a week especially after guardian games was raining event weapons left and right

pretty sure after a week, I've only gotten a dozen weapons to drop, of those only 5 AR's, thankfully I got the roll I wanted. Definitely got enough armor though, which was my real goal

The dark being reaches over, plucks the ghost out of the air and crushes it…. The CEO at the head of the table says it’s decided that we will kill RG drops for iron banner this will force the guardians to spend money just to get iron Banner weapons…

After my second night of playing nothing but banner I got one AR drop with terrible perks completely unusable. It's only my second gun overall since starting the event yesterday not counting the rewards pass ones. The only other weapon I got was the rocket launcher and it also had terrible perks. Other banner gear has been armor with the majority of loot being basic crucible gear.

1 ReplyVery low weapon drops for me. So far one AR, one rocket launcher and a couple of trace rifles. The armour isn’t free flowing either. Plenty of the non IB fusion though and the heavy machine gun. Loads of those.

I’ve had reasonable luck. Got a couple of God rolls. Wasn’t really interested in an auto in the special slot tho. That’s where my new fusion rifle lives😁

40 games so far and 1 drop from games and 1 from the event track. Received around 30 each of mos anthor and riptide.

You tried launching from the event page vs crucible page? No difference? I only say because there was an event a while ago that didnt drop loot unless you launched from the actual event page in the portal.

My theory is this: its all a human behavioral experiment. The value in keeping D2 up for Sony could only be achieved by saying the results of are human/game experimentation that will feed future games. This is why it can be a loss leader yet still deliver value. What you'll likely see is either a continuous ramp on drop toward the weekend, intervals or complete A/B testing of different paths with a monitor on results.. particular emphasis on those of us who are trackable in social forums. The game is a laboratory, we are the rats, and there are of course the scientists. We squabble for the cheese of our world and they for theirs (a theory on how we react to certain stimuli). They decided in 2026 it wasnt good to talk to the rats too much... -
2 RepliesI would say armour every second to third game, weapons every fifth game, Crucible stuff every game. Personally I am more keen on an IB armour set with my preferences hence it's okish assuming I will reach that by next reset. Yes, could be better.
