Cross save Giving authentication error what do I do?
Every time I try to do the cross save feature to link my brand new steam account to my destiny veteran Xbox account, i click authenticate on the steam one, it then pulls up a section where it ask if this is you? Which it’s showing my account so I click yes, then it gives me “Authentication Error
The account you attempted to verify is not linked to your currently logged in account. Please try again with your linked account for this platform.” Please help me destiny’s my favorite game I was so exited to get a pc to start getting into speed-running and some endgame activity and I just spent 140$ on the legacy and dlc content for steam, please bungie or someone, help me.

What you're experiencing is likely related to what ishikusui mentioned; you probably have multiple Steam IDs on the same account (whether the additional one was created intentionally or not), and you're using the wrong Steam ID for verification. This is an issue that comes up every now and again and can cause some confusion, understandably so. Once you identify which Steam ID is linked to your Bungie account, you'll need to log in and authenticate using that one specifically going forward.
