It is absolutely diabolical I have to play with cod timing, where the moment I descope I have to someone run at me.
now thats not a the weapons fault but. After playing 6 matches with the bow, I came to the conclusion. It sucks.
Pros
- Hits hard (Not hard enough though) |
- Explosive rounds
Cons (Too many to list but I will place them here anyways)
- Charge time (You scope for 3 to 5 seconds for maximum damage)
- Overheats while scoping a lane
- loses all charges when Descoping but the venting remains the same
- Slug does not hit precision from time to time (Sometimes my slug just..completely missed on the head)
- No scorch upon hits
- Once I ran through 5 hoops, I did all the work, I get rewarded with.....A guardian running away one -blam!-
- Go for precision, you leave them one shot and they run away
- You hit the body, now you do no damage at all
By no means should this be the new the cloudstrike at all. A weapon like this was on my wishlist for a couple years and I was excited when it happened. I was semi excited for a heavy crossbow (Wished it was a special weapon). And we finally got that with Heirloom. Only to see it basically not being worth using in crucible (I am not sure how the PVE consensus is)
It needs to one shot to the body, I see no real reason why it shouldn't be. Why should I use this over a sniper, shotgun or fusion rifle. Again, not everything is crucible viable and I understand that but it feels like slap in the face to use.
