I'm not pre ordering anything.
Id rather wait for it to go on sale like I did with lightfall. Trust me, it's worth the wait, why?... Cause your not missing anything

I don't pre-order anything these days because you get nothing for it anyway other than pushed-out content with live service games that base their content off of what sells that come with the, "if you buy now will fix it later". I'm tired of seeing developers push out broken content and streamers trying to convince everyone everything will be okay when it's not. The quality in gaming has just gotten worse over time and 90% of games produced these days are not even with the money spent on them. Just look at how many games have failed within just the last 5 years because the games are pushed out the door, and these developers spend more time selling the idea that a game is good rather them making a game good.

Why would I want to pre-order and pay full price for difficulty worship? If I want that, I'd play more Souls games. Definitely getting this on sale when it inevitably fails to retain players. This is a REALLY baffling path Bungie is taking. Sigma-3 players aren't gonna keep Bungie's bills paid for long.

Wurthering Waves drops soon check it out it's F2P and there's no other game like it in the market.

1 ReplyWhy would you anyway? Preordering is a throwback to days when physical copies of games were artificially "limited" to create hype. Nowadays with digital downloads, it's not like there isn't an almost 100% chance you're getting the game day 1 at launch. And for what, some cheap trinkets that no one cares about? Not worth giving the devs my money before they've proven their efforts are worth it.

Why give money to a company or a product before you know if the game or DLC is released and you know how it is.

But THEN turned around and nerfed everything viable before this could even be attempted to gauge difficulty. (With players, not their testing). Just clown'ish as possible. "Let's make ourselves feel good by nerfing everything". We should have all learned our lesson with Lightfall by now. Nerfing everything to make Prismatic stand out. Saw it all before with Stasis as well..

2 RepliesBest take. Nothing in the first few weeks/months will matter. Prismatic will ship broken to encourage sales, and then be nerfed repeatedly through the year. FOMO from some new gun dropping? They’ll rerelease it in six months with one small change and you can regrind it. New exotics? DOA or will be nerfed in the first weeks. Lightfall broke any remaining trust Witch Queen had built back. Wait for it to hit CDKeys or for a sale. Life’s too short to drop AAA money on a few new zones full of reprised content.
