Just played some PvP. I wasn’t happy about the new PvP changes when they announced them, and I immediately knew it’d be trouble. Surprise, I was right. Hand Cannons are still about the same, which is disappointing (I would have liked to see more, but I’m actually seeing less.) A bunch of people are just rocking Scouts/Pulses with usually a Shotty or a Sidearm. The sandbox is definitely not in a great spot right now…
Edit: It might just be in Comp because I was playing GG Supremacy and it was actually just a lot of Hand Cannons, Pulses, and SMGs. Not that many Scouts or Sidearms.
Second Edit: Nope. Yesterday I was playing Comp and it was all Pulses, Sidearms, and Scouts. Looks like it’s time for me to hop onto my Graviton Forfeit Hunter as well…

7 RepliesScouts needed some time. Last time they were half way decent outside of exotics was maaaybe arrivals. Theyve had outliers but not many that stuck

-blam!- bro, more hand cannons? We had years off and on that meta and if they weren’t meta they were competitive. Sorry not sorry. Don’t care for them or bows. So far the changes seem positive to me but they’re not going to satisfy everyone.

1 ReplyI don't care what anyone else uses. I'll be in there later this week for the first time in probably a year or so and I'll just be using my new crafted Chattering Bone with enhanced kill clip/ rampage. I'll probably STILL do poorly because of the lag infested cross play hellhole Bungie created, which is why I haven't bothered. But it's time to see anyway I guess. You're a shotgun ape anyway, so f off.

1 ReplyLol, handcannons are easily thr most used next to smgs. No idea why your games are diff.
-
5 RepliesI am super excited for the new trials scout.
-
5 RepliesPersonally I love the scout play style ….
-
13 RepliesBro, what weapon do you want people to use lmao? No way you want people to use an auto rifle or smg and ain't no way you want people to use bows. There's literally no weapon it seems that you'll be happy with people using

1 ReplyIs it time to dust off Mida ?

Yesterday hand cannons were all over the place! The team shooting was out of this world! 🤣

The more scouts the better.
-
9 RepliesRn the meta appears to be 120 hc's, 150 scouts (200 if it has box breathing), and high impact pulse rifles. Auto's feel really awful to use and smg's now rely SUPER hard on crits and even then they seem to take an extra shot but I'll wait till others give opinions on smg's, sidearms seem good at close range as usual, bows Idk but they don't seem to hurt that much in pvp.
-
19 RepliesThat isn't true. Go look at the most used weapons in Competitive. Most are handcannons, SMGs, or bows. Pulses also have a decent usage rate. But scouts are still some of the least used weapons, under 1.5% total usage.

Haven’t seen any scouts, except what I’ve taken into PvP. Handcannon players just close the distance in cover…and destroy you. Not the meta anyone was guessing.
-
4 RepliesHell yeah!!! I’ve been using Jade Rabbit and Polaris for the longest time. Time to get even more hatemail and death threats in PvP 😈😈
-
4 RepliesHave to keep handcannons relevant or Bungie would lose half their pvp crowd . 🤷🏼♂️
-
I’m still having a lot of fun with hand cannons personally but Bungie could nerf them into the ground and I think I’d still love ‘em lol Hope you can find something that works better for you though man

11 RepliesThey nuked Explosive Payload Hcs...

Good, scouts need some time in the sun Looks like the Trials scout is going to be pre-nerf dmt Get ready for hell!!!!

I'm surprised they seem to be working as good as they are. So far it doesn't seem like something that will be easy to use in every situation though. Looks like the sandbox is going to have more of the depth that may or may not have been missing for a bit.
