I've been playing alot of baldurs gate 3 lately with my best bro, honestly its pretty fun especially if you're a D&D fan as this is probably the most true to the original TTRPG video game in terms of lore and gameplay that I know of (solasta is pretty close but baldurs gate captures the social interactions more accurately I feel)
In a nutshell for those who don't know or play baldurs gate 3, it's a game that uses the formula of dungeons and dragons with some souls inspired exploration in the sense that there's plenty of locations and little side missions you could do and not even know of it's existence if you focus on the main story, definitely the best representation of d&d as a video game I feel

Replaying Ghost of Tsushima. I've already 100%'d the main game thrice and Iki Island once, but I just can't get enough of this -blam!-ing game. If you haven't played it yet, give it a shot.

FFXVI which I am enjoying quite a deal more than I expected. A little edgelord-y. And most of the characters are boring but well performed. And I absolutely love the character breakdown in the timeline giving you insight into everyone’s motivations, drives, and connections. Action is… okay? It changes the script enough to stay interesting but if the game overstays it’s welcome I can see it getting boring soon. Baldur’s Gate 3 which I almost stopped playing completely due to the whole thing feeling like playing DnD with an abusive DM. But the few updates in between seem to have made navigating the menus a little less annoying. But my team still points out traps before walking directly into them. I guess they’re all RPing cries for help. I am tacitly interested in what’s going on, but I feel like the freedom aspect is mostly bs and roleplaying in character even less so. It really just seems to translate into use meta knowledge before and in every fight. But I’m enjoying it enough to continue right now.

Edited by Sumpig-2: 1/11/2024 11:47:25 AMGot a few. Mostly first three. Dark Souls 1: I have 1, 2 and Demons left, and my friend recommended 1, so. here I am… Catacomb of the Giants… Why aren’t there torches? *Demon’s Souls is on backup for later. I’ll prolly get Lies of P before I start 2 cause golly these games long. Baldur’s Gate 3: I hit a bit of a fun wall after reaching midway Act 3. I made progress though and on my way to finishing my first playthrough (I’m also trying out honor mode.) *I have four other playthroughs sitting in Act 1… WARFRAME: Whispers brought some new content, and I have frames/weapons/fashion to grind for. Slowly. Solo. Best community though imo. Right next to the FromSoft community in fact. Terraria: it’s been a hot minute since I played it and they completely rehauled the mobile UI. Sucks I can’t see craft ingredients anymore. RN my next boss is Plantera. Just gotta prep the arena… oh boy. terraforming. my favorite. (I’m currently battling [excavating] the corrupted desert next to my hill home. Killing WoF four times in a row seemed to have unforeseen consequences.) Rainbow Six Siege: Lmao no I’m stopping. Ranked (my aim) sucks and Casual matches as Recruit are getting stale. And it’s worse solo cause all you hear are the squeakers or Xbox players using their mics for trash talk instead of callouts.

Starfield I just keep getting Freestar bounties, and surveying every planet and moon that I go to. I've kinda forgotten the story line of becoming Starborn (or not), and don't want to finish it because I hate the aspect of starting over. I just redownloaded World of Tanks after a 3 year hiatus. They fixed most of the stuff they broke 3 years ago, and I have a friend that this is the only game he plays anymore. I just started getting into the campaign and zombies on MWIII. This will be a game I do when I have nothing else I feel like doing, or after I tire altogether of Starfield (which is rapidly closing in).

Edited by The First Aifos: 1/8/2024 8:20:43 PMThe Kingdom Hearts series. Been replaying all the ones I have access to twice; -Once on Standard difficulty, gunning for 100% -Once on the hardest difficulty available, any%. I’m currently on Dream Drop Distance, and man the bosses in DDD are brutal on Critical. Riku still hasn’t beaten his first boss, and Sora got stuck on the second. And I’ve beaten Lingering Will!
