Reissued, revamped, reimagined, reprised.
Bungie. All you seem to be doing as of recent (last 2 years) is "oh hey we have the DCV, let's pull something out of it and call it content". WE ALREADY PAID FOR ALL THAT CONTENT YOU ROBBED FROM US.
Stop scamming us. Start actually DEVELOPING content in exchange for our annual 100 bucks again ffs.
I don't need to name any examples cause theres more every single season/DLC than i could list in a 50k word essay at this point. Everyone still denying it is still wearing their rose tinted glasses.
It is so blatantly obvious that Destiny is on the backburner and doesn't receive any proper quality dev time anymore but atleast treat your loyal playerbase with a tiny bit of repect. I know that sounds tough as a greedy capitalistic company but come tf on.
How players are still "okay" with your practice is beyond me. This game and their players deserve better. I personally lost interest and almost entirely stopped playing D2 recently. Completely over it. (Yes i tune in every now and then but they've lost a D2 main with me who spent like 8k hours in Destiny and was never more fed up with a game than D2 in its current state).

1 ReplyI can only speak for myself, but would imagine others who have also played for awhile (beginning of D1 for me) are NOT ok with things. It just hasn't really caught up with Bungie yet because there are many of us wanting to see it through The Final Shape before quitting (due to being too invested at this point). I feel like after 10 years of witnessing all the false promises Bungie has made, downright blatant lies they've told and pointing the finger at everyone else (Activision), their own shadiness is really beginning to become clear. There's no more I can excuse away and give them the benefit of the doubt. Upon release (D1 days), Eververse for example wasn't going to be used to FILL the game with microtransactions. Then when it started getting heavy, we get the whole "we're a small studio, we'll use Eververse to pay for more secrets missions and dungeons. Now look at it. Those things are built into their own DLCs (30th Anniversary) or Season passes. It's simply been lie after lie after lie from them. I'll finish the franchise out with The Final Shape, but will be hopping off the Bungie train at that point. My wish as a customer is that they would just be honest with their communication. They might announce things I don't agree with or like and that's fine. Don't lie to me though and don't preach false intentions. This is why I'll never even give any of their new games a chance. I can hear the sales pitch already "we may have missed the mark with Destiny over the years but <insert new IP name here> is our chance to do it right and fresh from the beginning as Bungie on our own as a studio.". It's all lies. The leadership and marketing are devoid of any moral compass.

Game so shallow you would not even believe these guys made Halo, one of the most successful game franchises that put Xbox in the map and changed the console market history. Really? From Halo to this?… I know when something is laughable, but this is beyond that anymore. Game is a shamble mess of shallowness!🤣

3 RepliesLet’s be honest, it was the most obvious thing they were going to do the minute they announced Sunsetting in the first place. I got ridiculed hard for being one of a few of us on here to point this out. Got told every excuse in the book re power creep being the reason. So imagine my shock when they did the exact thing I said they were doing it for…. Still waiting for the apologies from multiple users on here for that bs, but let’s be real here, that will never happen. Came to terms with that long ago.

Valve is a perfect example of it, they do basically nothing and still earns loads of money from their games. And destiny doesn't even have competitors, both Dota and CS have, but Valve doesn't care about them. Forsaken was good because game nearly died, D2 right is far from dying. Lightfall is specifically so bad because they used minimum amount of resources to make it and now it's going to be easier to sell Final Shape, because everyone going to say, that Final Shape is far better than Lightfall and people are going to buy it, like what they did with The Witch Queen. From business perspective they are doing a great job, it sucks for players, but you definitely could understand them if you were in their position, greedy, but good for them (I'm not defending them as a company, but I'm kinda impressed by the fact that they are always getting away with their business model, but Valve exists, so there is an even better example)

Increasing the difficulty so much on so many things, re-issuing/recycling content that we already paid for, they might as well be spitting in our faces when they do -Blam!- like this.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour from Bungie. They've decimated their reputation and will never be trusted again by the gaming community. Their new game "Matter" will suffer because no one can trust them.

Back to Tina’s Tiny World where loot is at least entertaining. This is travesty, I sweated to get these guns. Bungie spits on my time invested. Now I spit at them.

2 RepliesI don't mind reissue to a certain extent but when I start seeing the same weapon model 4-5 times with a different color scheme then I have a problem with it even more so if you remove it from the game and bring it back to charge me again for it Especially if you have thousands of unused weapon models from D1 and D2 let's be honest it shouldn't be that hard to actually alter a existing weapon model What disappointment me more it's 2023 why are we still using the same public events that been in the game since 2017 on new destinations 😑

This is why I chose not to pre-order this year until I seen what they were offering. I'm still a fan of the franchise, but Bungie has to sell the content to me after the disasters that was TWQ's post expansion content. Vote with your wallet.

3 RepliesHonestly does it matter? These days I find people care more about the perks not the gear themselves, bungo can give us the ugliest looking weapon but with the best perks it can roll with and we will still use it.

I know how this sounds but this is the truth, signed by a contract - executed from the moment on you go ingame. I'm not a friend of it, and especially as a designer for classical media and illustration I'm "shocked" how often they reuse content but it looks like that it's possible in this industry, even if it is a no go in advertising. Maybe Bungie is recycling all those polygons because of limitations of their engine, and economy or greed; only they know but I'm very sure they will not change. So make the best out of it or move on to something better.

1 Reply90% of the current player base started in Witch Queen. That’s why Bungie can reuse so much content. For most people it’s actually new. They found out 2-3 years ago that they don’t actually retain many players long term and largely bank on hordes of new players with every major content release. It’s basically not worth playing Destiny for more than 2 years if this bothers you. That’s about the length of the cycle before you’ll be part of the reused camp.
