Edited by A_mo: 1/18/2023 6:38:31 PMThere is borderline zero human involvement or interaction in quickplay matches. Such a weird feeling to be "playing" that. Feels like the controller is going to be snatched out of your hand by the cord at any moment. And it would make a cartoonish whistle noise.

1 ReplyI severely disagree with the collapsing of quick play modes into one giant soup, I like just playing control

Not exactly sure what this post is referring to. I mean it’s not exactly wrong, connections this season are the worst they’ve ever been by a considerable margin. As far as the sandbox/balancing goes we’ve had far worse than this.

2 RepliesPvp is poop 100% of the time now. Forced to play game modes you don't like with the bad old early D2 random format. Rift being elimination style which is -blam!-. Points deducted for losses in Comp for a while now. 1 new map in like 2 years or more it feels like now. List goes on. Doesn't take Einstein, Tesla or Newton to work out Crucible ain't popular right now.

7 RepliesAn AI could design a better PvP experience than Bungie.

2 RepliesI simply do not play it - even for a Pinnacle. The only modes I will play is IB (and only because of multiple Pinnacles), Mayhem and sporadically Momentum Control.
-
1 ReplyAt least they now have skill based matchmaking in a pvp where skill is the least important factor in winning.
-
I play crucible labs. No sbmm just kids who don’t play crucible so fun.

9 RepliesEdited by Puma Kane: 1/18/2023 7:56:15 PMThere are lot of cowards in QP. Sitting in the back of the map with snipers and riding itch with buddies, is just sorry. Edit: Clash amplifies everything wrong with the Crucible. It needs to go back on rotation.

Pvp will always be on fire.

I used to avoid 6v6 and only do comp because it was smaller teams. Now comp feels weird with the changes to it, so I don’t really have that anymore. Thankfully, even old comp I played rarely, so it’s not a huge loss to me personally.

Edited by Morakx: 1/19/2023 7:19:52 PMCould not have chosen wiser words. Look at every single pvp streamer to get an idea how terrible pvp has become. No, i don't want you to think that streamers should be a reference point but their activity definitely reflects the state of the game the most since those guys main source of income literally depends on D2 and the state of pvp. If these guys hate it and stop playing, its already far beyond the lost cause state. Most of the good former pvp streamers have either entirely stopped playing the game and quit streaming. The other portion shifted towards full time PVE content and NEVER touches pvp anymore. And the small minority thats left playing pvp is doing it because they haven't found another source of income yet and therefore keep doing service carry streams and hate the games pvp while doing so. Not a single pvp streamer is left who actually plays daily and has any sort of positive feedback about the current pvp. Bungie has given up. It shows, as sad as it is. I myself am a former pvp main but just can't do it anymore either. And i played through all the terrible metas and content droughts. Pvp is never having a comeback with this dev team. Sadly.

2 RepliesEdited by Adam_Clockwork: 1/19/2023 7:56:36 PMTo be honest half of the time I feel like its due to player either cheating or ignoring vital hints during game play no joke Today was just doing PvP to get the Weapon Skin, and I -blam!- you not half of my team were not paying attention to Radar with us keep getting pinched than having Titans Running, Melee, and Shooting their way to Victory. (I am glad I am gonna be maining Titan for Light Fall because I main Hunter during Forsaken, including Shadow Keep, and I main Warlock with Beyond the Light, with Witch Queen. If Titan are as easy as I heard the balance issue isn't with the Ability but the classes as a whole) Just a small edit: Even during the Afternoon (The time I am playing now) there is nothing but sweats, and toxic people PvP has been long dead.

1 ReplyEdited by CORPERATE COMMANDER: 1/19/2023 2:58:00 AMLag ,cheats, cronus, sweats pvp is beyond repair bungie should give all players the option to uninstall pvp and be able to install old content that was vaulted

1 ReplyAdd Champions, lets make it worse.

Any time I play pvp I enjoy the experience. If you’re trying to give constructive feedback perhaps tell us why you don’t like it and bring feasible solutions to the table.
-
-
It's mostly because of lag.

1 ReplyIf you're a high end player definitely. Most if us just get the 50% standard, sbmm ain't skill based or balanced.
-
Just play it 20% of the time then 👍
-
I don’t really do quickplay any more. IB, Comp and Trials are the best experiences in my opinion.
-
2 RepliesJust don’t take it seriously! Use whatever you want . Don’t get emotionally involved….it’s just a video game . Feel sorry for people that get so angry and frustrated……being toxic and just making really sad assumptions about other players . Small doses is usually fine .

Quick play is the prime definition of D2 year one mixed with ability spam. Two things that are definitely not supposed to be in the mix together. And with SBMM? Wow that’s even more baffling because it’s not even true SBMM. It’s just fixed matches that try and “balance” out your W/L ratio by pinning you against teams that you know you’ll automatically lose or win against. Take for instance post end of match results. Your team has KDs around 1 and below, while the other has 2 and up. But the kill counts are more or less the same. Wonder how that ended up to be so. I’d take CBMM over SBMM only because this isn’t true SBMM I’m experiencing. If every one of my matches were close games with every player being exactly around my skill level, then yeah I’d take SBMM any day of the week. But not this bootleg whatever the hell you call it. Take me back to six stack days or put rumble back in as a permanent game mode. Because quick play sure as hell isn’t it.
Pvp quickplay is a poop experience
Yeah, when you have a company that complains about making content is hard and then make excuses of not overdelivering. This is what you get for a game. A poopfest! Hahahahahahaha!
