2 RepliesCould help them get Gamepass on Playstation. But it honestly just feels like Microsoft are buying up small devs and companies that are on a downward spiral like Bethesda and Activision. What will they buy next? EA? It's not like it's for actual exclusives either but rather a keep away from Sony/Nintendo.

1 ReplyIt’s crazy to imagine two franchise rivals IE halo and CoD are now under the same people. I’m curious if Microsoft were to make CoD exclusive to Xbox but I don’t know, they’d get a lot of money having it stay on both PlayStation and Xbox.

15 RepliesDon't think they even have any IPs I care about so I'm still probably going to move over to PC or Playstation. There's just nothing I care about on Xbox anymore. Halo went live service and Bethesdas been trash for like a decade now, but PC has most everything along with stuff consoles can't handle while Playstation has Bloodborne, Demons Souls, and the KotOR remake. I also haven't played anything in like a month though, so maybe I just get a cheap laptop for writing and online D&D. Games suck these days.

3 Replies[i]It’s definitely a big deal. I was non-pluses when Microsoft bought Bethesda, since I don’t play any Bethesda games. But the Activision deal is on a completely different level. The Bethesda deal was about acquiring exclusive IP’s for game pass. The Activision deal is statement of intent to own the entire gaming industry. ( ,Not that this news affects me all that much, I own an Xbox Series X! And have a game pass subscription, but I also don’t play anything Activision related. Aside from that time when Activision published Destiny, the last time I played an Activision game was Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare ).[/i]

1 ReplyIt would be funny if sony would be able to buy 2k games as a counter move. I don't think they have the finances to make that happen, but it would be a good counter move. For me as an owner of a series s with game pass and a ps5, I have acces to most games anyway.
