Trials Of The Nine: Please bring this back as an alternative game mode to Trials Of Osiris. Like have an option between 4v4 (TOTN) and 3v3 (TOO.) Or at least please come up with a way to earn the Trials Of The Nine gear. I absolutely loved the gear you could get, but even if I earned all the gear (only got it all on Hunter) it would be obsolete anyway now. I'm so glad Trials is back, I just wish the whole idea of Trials of The Nine wasn't scrapped because of it. :/

Season of the Worthy.... this season will make us feel rather worthless for losing our beloved gear we were grinding for months and years with sweat and tears...

22 RepliesWhy didnt you go with a battle royale? You could've called it Twilight Gap. It really would be a terrific spin on the battle royale mode. -abilities -supers -vehicles -weapons of all ranges -armor and shield upgrade You could've had public events spawn. Players could even have a temporary truce and then use the gear from the event to kill each other. Huge risk vs huge reward. Anyway, Destiny could have helped redefine the genre by using mechanics already in the game that aren't in any other battle royale. Missed opportunities. Instead, a really old and defunk gamemode was resurrected to the joy of some and chagrin of others.

I really want to be excited over this but I can’t be. The sandbox is not in a fun place for myself and a large portion Of the people I play with. Instant kill meta has never been fun to me. I’d wait to have an opinion on this after seeing the full patch notes but I think it’s safe to say the devs idea of a fun pvp is very very far from my own idea of a fun multiplayer experience. The cheating and false banning problems will likely also return. If a few needs to top tier stuff happens ready for wavesplitter. Things a monster and flys far under people’s radar so that’ll be a fun weekend when it’s noticed. Supers are overturned, cooldowns and certain builds simply aren’t fun to play against. The games tick rate is a bloody joke (sorry but man you guys cheated out on that and trace rifles really showcase how obnoxious it is) snipers don’t really experience flinch the way they probably should and that’s just never fun to hit explosive round headshots on a sniper only for them to still headshot you 8 shots in

4 RepliesNot sure why every single person in this thread is cursing this, like if you don’t like d2 then just don’t play, no ones forcing you to play it or even associate with it, I know plenty of games for you to go and complain about, if you want a replacement to destiny then play borderlands, if you want a solo game play dark souls (bar 2) or Elden ring when it releases, if you want a team based game play overwatch. The developers used to check this forum regularly but now they don’t due to the children that occupy this space. Who are equivalent to “Karen who wants to see management” Now imma go and explain the main points that everyone’s crying about: Trials: why is everyone complaining about this? It will be identical to how it was in d1 which is what people fanboy about right? Reskins? Wow sorry that you don’t like what is IMO the best set in the game, and even then it doesn’t need to be new, wait till next year and they’ll release a new set. Weapon retirement: WHY ARE WE ARGUING ABOUT THIS? This is very good for the game. The problem about the game is that grind incentive is gone due to people all going for the best weapon: recluse, mountain top, revoker, Nf, spare rations. The meta is stale and boring and the only way to do it is to rather remove the outliers or do this which still lets you enjoy them, while giving space for new metas to leap forward, it happened in taken king (which people regard as the best expansion) and people didn’t have issues and that was just dropped on ya without any “9 month grace period” litterally this is the healthiest change for the game in years. I hate going on d1 lfg due to the constant cesspool of unnecessary hate for all this.

I hope that you guys plan on releasing some PVE content as well. I’ve played my fair share of trials and love the rewards but it is by far not my favorite activity. Many people in the community(myself included) heavily prefer the PVE side of Destiny(A real shocker right). Even for the crucible guys out there, we’ve all seen what happens when bungie only releases one activity per season. Gambit prime did not sustain us for all of season of the drifter. Sundial definitely didn’t sustain us for season of the dawn. If trials is the only activity planned for next season, I will be more than disappointed. Even for the people who love trials and play it every weekend, what are they supposed to do during the week? The same stuff we’ve been doing every week for the past six months? I don’t mind doing bounties, but even I get bored of at some point.

Cool, ToO, the genesis of pay for play, the term “salt” and cursing is back. Even with 3 friends we still got -blam!- in the Man P. Never made it to the tower :(. Now a whole season dedicated to it? Where’s my vodka. Let’s rock. I guess.

So I have an idea. What if pinnacle weapons become a new sub class of weapons. People who have earned them can keep and upgrade them to the new seasons soft cap. But, for endgame content to keep progressing past the soft cap you have to use the new legendary weapons with each new season. Rotate the pinnacle quests between coming seasons (or bi-seasonally) to avoid FOMO. Also bring back pinnacle drops of +1 light back to weekly challenges and trials bounties to keep both PVE players and PVP players interested. Even if you can only use this to progress half way to the hard cap. Even if it's gritting your teeth and doing activities you may not enjoy your still moving forward.
