Ive been playing destiny 2 but my interest is really starting to fall off. Im thinking of going back to d1 and completing all the quests that dont require a team. What are your thoughts on destiny 2 so far?
Edit: nice to see so many of you. I have another question for you all to answer. How would you feel if they merged d1 and d2 to make 1 evolving world like they said in d2 shadowkeep vidoc?

1 ReplyMe! Beta D1 player. Very bored and meaningless in its current state.

7 RepliesOh good hopefully there are some vets reading this. How do you guys like that everworse items have gone from earnable to over $1,500 a year!?

Wish i wasn't.

I'm still here from D1. Taken King release to be exact. Definitely don't play as much D2 these days. I don't feel any sense of investment anymore. I don't have any interest in this newer "End Game" I don't mind hard hitting enemies coming from all sides. But when I can't hit hard back, and every rank and file enemy is a bullet sponge, and getting through an activity is a slow boring slog unless everyone uses a "specific" meta loadout, I'm honestly not interested. At the end of the day. If I'm not having fun, I'm gonna go do something else.

ah memories

I played D1, sure, but it feels weird getting called a vet for sitting on my couch pushing buttons.

Edited by FaultyRumour: 1/16/2020 4:32:29 PMI was playing D1 a few days ago and really enjoying it. There are sadly precious few players willing to do difficult activities, let alone teach them, and the frame rate genuinely hurts my eyes but all-in-all something fun to play since D2 has become so stale and uninteresting.

Beta player. Still waiting for the next real dlc.

Been playing since week 1, D1. Still play with a core group of friends via the100.io. Still enjoying, it suits our 'older' lifestyle I guess, for the most part. The state of the game is currently 7/10 for me, it's been worse for sure. > Make Raids more accessible (I could write an essay on this), they've gone downhill for various reasons since WOTM, though SOTP was a highlight. > Universal mods, but I'd mitigate the wailing by saying only on Masterworked armour. > More coherent story telling and joined up arcs with more depth. I think Guardian Uldren has been kicked to touch, but a possible story of redemption would be awesome for example. Otherwise why make a teaser cutscene? > As such the seasonal model currently is... OK. Ish. Just seems rushed and a little light, too often. > I've no qualms at all about Eververse. It's my money, I'll spend it how I like (or not), thanks very much. No such thing as FOMO if you're mature enough to realise it's an immature state of mind. > Bulk deleting please. > Optional 'Join game in progress' for fire team match making. If I wanted to join half way through, I would! Other than that, we're good.

Having played Destiny from its 2014 beta until 2019, I can easily say it's the better game of the two. Once The Taken King launched, that's when the quality of Destiny initially started to descend (in my opinion). For instance, the stories in the game went from being more of an in-depth seminar to becoming a phone conversation that ceases after five minutes. By comparison Destiny 2 isn't that much worse than Destiny was. However, given the state that Destiny dropped towards, the game obviously isn't as well-built. One of my least favorite things about Destiny 2 is the level design. It's often the case where you can get stuck on certain objects or fall off when traversing through a story mission or a strike. There being numerous strikes designed with environmental traps in them is never fun, especially when you're attempting to achieve a timed victory in a nightfall.

Started as a total blueberry in first month D1, came back in TTK once it was bundled. Really would like to relive everything I missed for being such a stupid kid.
-
4,800 hours into D1. Not even half of that into D2. I'm still waiting for the game to be made for everyone, instead of elitist neckbeards.

Majority of the vets from d1 moved to better games after going thru the exact same trash in d2 like they did in d1 at the beginning. It showed that Bungie didn’t care about its fans wanted and didn’t care to keep its fan base because they would eventually make destiny 2 a free game

8 RepliesCan we stop calling people who played d1 a vet.... your just a guy who played d1.

7 RepliesI like the supers more in D2...but for some reason, my attention is falling away from D2...I seemed more into destiny back in D1 days

6 Replies[ Raises Hand ] Day one player from D1.. I miss the old days.. Gaily shoulder been nerfed.. they didn't. Icebreaker.. Soooooo fun. Spindle... soooooo fun. Minor tweaks.. didn't ruin them.. in fact, I beat skiles on hard BEFORE they nerfed him.. that was the decline for Destiny.. I'll never forget 'throwing money at the screen'.. didn't happen.. And only real OGs remember the legend of.. Smoggy Pluto...

I'm sort of around. Logged in today to do the quest for the new exotic. Which turned out to be really short and easy. I take breaks here and there. Last year I skipped a few seasons, then came back and caught up. I'm dwindling again. Spend some time playing Jedi Fallen Order. Got a few other games to try. Destiny is good when I want to tune and do something repetitive. It's great filler for gaps in times where I don't have other games to play :)

1 ReplyEdited by FrenetiCreature: 1/16/2020 4:55:03 AMYep! Had 2776 hours played in D1. I have less than half that much time in D2 so far.

Not a bad idea. This season in D2 is a snoozefest.
