Crucible =/= fun
This new matchmaking system that prefers skills over connection is just awful. Many times have I been rubber banded around the area only to get killed through a wall. Combined with the fact that you tie every decent weapon to crucible, means you force us to play this garbage. This sucks.

17 RepliesYou playing Iron Banner? Cause that's always been SBMM.. even back before QP became the pub stomp play ground it was last year. If you want CBMM they have a play list for you.. it's called Classic.

Bungie, you have totally ruined my experience with destiny. You have tied the most useful weapons to competitive gamplay and make it impossible to people to get it without paying someone to to do it for you. Now I feel that I am an above average player and even with the solo que system I can't get passed 4500 glory. Seriously... I dedicated the entire season to getting the NF and cannot reach the requirement. How is that supposed to be fun again???

1 ReplyI gave up on crucible when trials went away. You should too. Maps aren't balanced and their is no incentive to do it unless you are a completionist.

So after playing banner all week, I believe my primary gripe is with banner. Just played a few quick play matches w friends and it felt like it was ok. Banner is horrible. Every game is a blowout

14 RepliesThose living in Tibet will likely see more connection issues. I played a ton of IB and saw almost no lag here in the US. Without SBMM I wouldn’t play IB.

In time with practice I got better now I love crucible specially iron banner with my titan an knocking out almost everyone like a one punch God haha. Hopefully it will improve for you fingers crossed an match ups will improve as will your enjoyment of it. It's all about the right combo of gear figure out your favourite tactics weapons armour an exotics an I'm sure you'll be kicking butt soon. I had alot of connection issues then changed my Internet security an it thought that solved it but i didn't realise they changed the match making connection skill list thing till I stumbled across this thread an peeps comments.

I'm actually usually better at Crucible than I think I'm supposed to be so I'm able to have fun most of the time, but that fun is contingent on me also acknowledging the fact Crucible is a broken pile of hot garbage where nothing really makes sense. I'm also a mostly PvE player who does Crucible for bounties and Powerful Gear so there's that too. Just try to have fun with it is all I can say.

If they don't come up with a REAL ranking system, and actually do something about network manipulation / DDOS as well as team stacking, account recoveries, and weapon / class balance, at least don't force us to go into PvP for quests and bounties. Or just remove crucible altogether. It's frickin' garbage right now.

You know what is fun in Crucible? Rat King. Especially on a shoulder charging Titan it is. Get a kill with Rat King, reload, go invis, and bee line it for the closest opponent who won't even see you coming. Good times lmao.
