Dude told me i wasn't "god enough" to reach legend
Proved him wrong and hit legend the same night. Moral of the post is: If someone tells you can't do something in this game, prove them wrong. Whether you think that a crucible pinnacle weapon or a raid exotic is out of your reach and people try to bring you down, use this as your fire to get it. It doesn't matter how many raid clears or what K/D you have, it's possible to get it. If you put the time and effort in to get better and grind, you will have it in no time. To the trolls and elites who constantly bring others down, F*ck off. To the players who need that push, that will to feel like you can do this, remember this post. Just remember that failure isn't the end, It's something to learn from.

The guy was still right about your skill in particular not being good enough to get Legend. You getting there by being brute forced through the ranks with better players doesn't prove him wrong at all. Congrats tho.

I had a really bad game couple days ago and some guy messages me "go back to quickplay" I looked him up on destiny tracker and my stats were WAY better than his, and I'm not even very good, but I'm not terrible. Sometimes people have bad games, or they wanna play on a class/subclass they don't use very often. It happens, people need to realize it's just a game and not get so toxic. Anyway, congrats on legend, I've personally only been able to get to mythic 3 and then I seem to go on crazy losing streaks. I'll get there at some point.

I get the whole smack talk you know talking crap banter (that's the yanky side of me, the brit in me would want to knock me out for running my mouth haha) to get blood pumping but in jest light hearted fun. But those who, actually mean such insults sincerely aren't worthy to be guardians. Theirs a difference between having a laugh an making fun of something vs legitimately insulting someone an a very thin line between what one considers a joke an another may deem an insult. Sometimes I talk so much smack I have to keep my mic off because I'm sure someone maybe upset with something I may say for a joke just as someone could joke with me an I would more then like get butt hurt an take it to heart. I guess this is why bungie has a strict policy on respectful interactions an best if those whom are sensitive like I'm sure we can be I know I can be at times lol just the same goes for the opposite end of the spectrum. So would it be a good idea to be able to utilise the mute player option like Gears of war I can choose to mute players.

Very few should be. That’s why they talk down to other people as if their fake stat KDs and Legend rankings matter.

He plays Destiny and several other games with me for fun and not for gloat even when I'm just like a filthy casual fun loving player who can't be bothered to learn a game anymore... Remember this guys, when you are low in your life and need help, your attitude will matter... your k/d and glory won't help you a f bit! Being good must be a core part of the bone marrow of a person. Gaming community doesn't need to be toxic. In d1 I bothered to git gud and all that stuff but now i don't. If a gaming community is so competitive then it's ok for money but for bragging it's hilarious...

if it was last season you wouldnt be able to. heck i couldnt even go to to legend before shadowkeep. Bungie made competitive ranking too easy but congrats i also made it to legend this season.
