I'm sure it's been suggested but can we get shaders for exotics? I'd like my guns to match my outfit.
Note: not asking for exotic shaders, I am wanting to pull from my collections so my guns can change color, even armor would be nice. It's odd there's no shaders to be applied on exotics but everything else is able to change color

1 ReplyWe also need custom/editing shaders.

Edited by parallelish: 9/30/2019 3:47:52 PMthe work is already done as well. if you equip a primary exotic and preview a shader the gun will have the shader applied to it. also exotic armor can have shaders applied to them already, most though have certain areas not affected that remain whatever color they come with

Edited by KRoMXiTo: 9/30/2019 3:52:20 PMYes. I dont know why didnt they do that yet..... non sense.
-
They would only add it as yet another eververse scam. No way in hell would they introduce a potentially competing product. Player satisfaction and goodwill be damned as usual.
-
I would love to see this in the game. I don't really like to many of the shaders in the game at the moment, so being able to make your own would be great! I hope something like this gets put in the game sooner rather than later.

Annoyingly, shaders don't seem to change Thorn or The Last Word at all. Would be cool to have an even darker looking Thorn with red orbs instead of green. Oh well.
-
2 RepliesThey would never do it because they sell the ornaments for the exotics and they won’t want to lose money from their in game sales.
everything else is able to change color
cries in common/uncommon gear

And you know it’s possible because if you preview a shader it also applies it to your primary exotic that you hold.
-
Made a post about this before but yea it needs to happen
-
Honestly people who think ornament sales wild drop are way wrong. Plenty of people would still want to be unique with a ornament and shader to make their gun insane looking

1 ReplyXinuchan You make some valid points and i agree that eververse must be removed from this game but, Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

4 RepliesHow else will they monetize ornaments, huh?
-
3 RepliesThis would kill their ornament sales. People would just use free shaders instead of paying for exotic ornaments. So they should make shaders work on exotics, and the exotics when the ornaments are equipped too.
-
Edited by SamSu916: 9/30/2019 6:41:26 AMYeah seriously. I’d say I’ll buy ornaments even if we could us shaders if they are worried about ornament sales dipping. I’m sure many others will still buy them as well.

I agree. Exotic weapon ornaments, would look a whole lot better.
-
BUNGIE!! u better
-
Ornament should always change the design of the weapon

7 RepliesEdited by AAAbuser: 9/29/2019 11:24:59 AMThe reason they're not doing it is because this would take away from the appeal of Eververse ornaments. Everything in this game orbits around Eververse at this point to fuel the cocaine habbits of the greedy muppets in charge of this game.

4 RepliesI do like some of the ornaments a lot but there are some that personally I think are no good and a few that are horrendous and I will never use. I know this is all personal opinion but being able to slap a shader on of our choosing would be great. I would even be okay if it came down to either having the ornament on or a shader but you can't do both. This way those who do like the ornaments can use them and those who don't wont. All personal opinion and no disrespect towards the design team :)

3 RepliesNot asking for exotic shaders? That actually sounds like a great idea. Shaders that have an effect that change colors or green fire. Their something with that idea. Doubt we'll get it.
-
1 Replyim all for this! Hate the fact that i can see exotics in different shaders when viewing the shader as a whole but cant apply it :(
-
You can already apply shaders to exotic armor, even if the armor has an ornament on it. But yeah, it'd be nice if you could do the same on guns.

Edited by The Hermit IX: 9/29/2019 2:46:24 PMThat’s to make ornaments more appealing. Bad JuJu ornaments work with both Solstice armor and Forsaken. No mystery there.
