Don't preorder Shadows Keep
Buy it day one at the earliest. This is my suggestion. Bungo Stray Dogs are good at marketing and making us want shit. But that's all it usually has been: shit. Do not pre order. Wait till week 2 once people have a feel for what the dlc actually is. And by people, I mean streamers and the YouTubers.

2 RepliesNah I’ve bought every dlc/expansion and both D1/D2 multiple times (console hopped) and have never regretted my purchases. Destiny is the only multiplayer game that I play (until Halo Reach comes to MCC) and sure, I’ve been bored/disappointed at times but never regretted the amount of money I spent on this franchise. I’m preordering Shadowkeep thank you very much

2 RepliesI'm not preordering it, or planning to buy it at all at this point. Not due to anything wrong with the game or Bungie, but because none of my friends are really playing anymore, and I dont want to find new friends to play with. If I have to play a game solo, it's more beneficial and worth my time to play games where I can benefit most as a solo player.

How is buying it day one, any different than preordering it? Now I can understand people that only slightly enjoy D2, or people on tight budgets, waiting to see if the new content is, "worth," their money. But if you are pretty sure you will eventually buy it, then preordering it, and getting extra or earlier loot, makes more sense then not preordering it, right? Personally, I've bought every piece of Destiny content, since preordering D1. And after my next paycheck I will be preordering Shadowkeep. I get that some think preordering negatively impacts what ultimately gets released, but I don't feel that way, and imagine many others don't either.

1 ReplyWhat other game can I play? Anthem got shot down, warframe is awful to play on Xbox, New halo just sucks, borderlands looks Ight but eh. I mean, the only other game available like D2 is the division 2, and I don’t know how long that’s gonna last. Besides, (and believe me, I know how Bungie has treated us in the past [think last last February during CoO]) but I think they’ve done well over the forsaken year. Sure, not everyone got what they want (just ask the PvP’ers), but can we just have a little faith? They’re now openly doing a lot of what I’d personally consider a year ago an out-of-bounds wishing (cross save, free to play, etc), so just by respecting the high horse whims of a ever-hungry community and we tell ourselves to not support them? Wtf?

I don't mind the free to play but as someone who has spent too much time and money here, they don't respect those who have given this game their time and $$$. All things being equal, I would say they owe the long time fans a lot more than... nothing, which is exactly what it feels like we are getting. Nothing.
